Baxter Congregational loves supporting local businesses, and (on top of Julia working there) we have two big things coming up in partnership with Java Java on Main / CC on Main .

First, you can get a free drink if you memorize the great commission (Matthew 28:18-20). As we spend the next month walking through the Great Commission in our Sunday services we want to encourage everyone to memorize this passage. Anyone who goes to Pastor Ben and recites Matthew 28:18-20 from memory will get a little card (like the one in the picture) for a free Medium drink from Java Java.

Second, join us this Saturday (6/6) at 10am as Pastor Ben leads the ☀️ Light & Hope: Community Prayer on the Patio to dedicate the new patio space for use by God and by our community. There will be a time of prayer and a brief reflection on how Christ forms us for community. Everyone is Welcome.

We are thankful for the connections and support from Jen Nevels and everyone at Java Java / Community & Connection.

Jeremiah 29:7 - “seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.”

Matthew 28:18-20 - “And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Lots going on this weekend. Join us 10am Sunday for Lord's Day Worship as we continue in our sermon series on The Great Commission looking at what it means to "Make Disciples". Two other things to check-out this weekend.

Saturday 5/30 8am-Noon is our Youth Lemonade Stand - Garage Sale Days @ Baxter Congregational Church

And Sunday Evening 5/31 we will have another Pilgrim's Progress Study. (4:30 reading 5pm Study)

Hey Friends!
The youth ministry is stirring up something sweet, and we want you to be a part of it! Come swing by our community lemonade stand during the Baxter Garage Sale Days. Not only will they be serving up lemonade but there will also be other refreshments and plenty of delicious, sweet treats to choose from.

We believe that no matter what struggles come our way, “life gave me some lemons, but my Jesus He be makin’ lemonade!” We’re celebrating that spirit of joy and resilience by raising funds for charity.
