Where were you? It’s a question that is and will be asked of each of us. I’m not alone in this question for it seems many churches are experiencing this same problem. People are absent. Sickness, vacation, emergencies we all understand these things occur, I understand. Yet, perhaps, we are into what Paul spoke of in 2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come except there came a falling away first. It seems that this maybe happening in front of us. I don’t mean to upset anyone but talking to other Pastors and seeing the latest stats it seems this is happening. So let me ask you this question, where were you? Perhaps your Pastor had a word that could have been just what you needed but church wasn’t a priority that day. You may have missed what the Lord had been preparing him for all that week. Maybe a hymn that was sung could have been just what you needed but you weren’t there. The list can go on and on, but we were not there. I write this in hopes of encouraging you to attend your church and listen and participate. Sing, give your Pastor a “Amen”, greet one another. Let me venture on before we get too excited. Your church also has other services, Wednesday evening, Sunday night, etc. These are other opportunities where the question comes in - “Where were you”? I could ramble on, but lastly let me say this. One day we each will give an account before Him, when He asks “Where were you”? What will you say then? I’d rather have you angry with me now than have to answer that before Him one day. I love each one of you and I pray that you will make this a priority for you and your family! God bless, if you already attend a church be faithful to it and attend every service possible. If you do not, let me invite you to Altamaha Baptist! God bless!
