✨Women’s Weekend 2026✨
What happens when women gather in faith, fellowship, worship, and purpose? A weekend that leaves hearts full, spirits renewed, and lives forever encouraged!
Our Women’s Weekend 2026 was nothing short of AMAZING! From the beautiful brunch, heartfelt conversations, laughter, and bonding, to a powerful full day of Sunday worship, we experienced a weekend filled with encouragement, sisterhood, praise, and the undeniable presence of God.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our dynamic speakers, Lady Shirelle Lewis and Minister Millie Conaway, for pouring into us with wisdom, truth, and powerful words that challenged and inspired us to grow deeper in our walk with Christ.
A special thank you to our phenomenal panel guests, Sis Ruby Lee Rooks, Sis. Tricia Leggon, Deaconess Donna Clement, Sis. Joey Cummings, Deaconess Eleanor Abramson, Lady Carrol Banton, Min. Runnette Lewis, and Sis. Ka’Laina Lewis and our amazing moderator, Dr. Regina Streetman, for leading such meaningful and enlightening discussions.
To our incredible chairpersons, Sis. Theresa Hayes and Minister Gwendolyn Ryals — thank you for your vision, leadership, countless hours of preparation, and dedication to making this weekend a tremendous success.
Special appreciation goes to our kitchen committee for the delicious meals and acts of service shown all weekend long, and to the decorating team for creating such a beautiful and elegant atmosphere fit for this memorable occasion.
We are honored to celebrate Sis. Carolyn Wade, who was crowned Woman of the Year for her many years of faithful service to First African Baptist Church.
To our supportive community ladies and every woman who served in countless capacities throughout the weekend — THANK YOU. Your love, support, helping hands, and servant hearts did not go unnoticed.
A very special thank you to Empact for your support and for leading us in powerful praise and worship that afternoon. Your presence helped usher in an atmosphere of joy, worship, and expectation.
As we closed the unforgettable weekend, we left encouraged, strengthened, and challenged to do more than simply hear the cry — but to boldly HEED THE CALL. May we answer God with courage, walk in purpose, serve with compassion, and rise as women determined to make an impact in our homes, church, community, and beyond.
Women of God, the call is still being made… the question is: will you answer?
