🏆 Words cannot adequately express our gratitude to The Harrell Family and their From Annie Foundation for their steadfast support of the outreach ministry of First African Baptist Church.

Whether during the toughest weeks following the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, at the height of the pandemic when many families were navigating difficult times with limited resources, or during the Christmas season when some children may not have otherwise experienced the joy of a merry Christmas, The Harrell Family and the From Annie Foundation helped us fill those gaps. Their generosity has brought hope, relief, and countless smiles to families throughout our community.

On behalf of the First African Baptist Church family, Pastor James B. Hayes was honored to present the 2026 FAB Distinguished Service Award to our benefactors, Brother H. Steve Harrell and Sister Shemantha Harrell Smith, in recognition of their faithful support and outstanding contributions over the years.
We are truly thankful for your partnership in ministry and for the many ways you continue to help us be the hands and feet of Christ in our community. May God richly bless you for all that you have done and continue to do.

"For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love, which ye have shewed toward his name..."
— Hebrews 6:10

🧔🏽‍♂️🖤On Sunday, we were honored to bless all of the fathers in attendance with inspirational Scripture cups. Mother Almaree Miller did a wonderful job presenting the gifts to our fathers as we celebrated and honored them for their faithful service and leadership in their homes, church, and community.

🧔🏽‍♂️👔🧔🏻‍♂️Father’s Breakfast 2026🧔🏼‍♂️🍳🧔🏿‍♂️

What a wonderful time of fellowship we shared at our Father’s Day Breakfast on Saturday morning! Men from throughout our church and community came together for a morning filled with food, fellowship, worship, and encouragement.

Those in attendance were blessed to enjoy not only a delicious breakfast prepared by Deacon Jesse Alderman and his team, but also a rich spiritual meal. We were inspired by the timely message from Pastor Robbie Tomberlin, uplifted through powerful praise and worship led by Minister Derrick Hayes, and blessed by a heartfelt prayer offered by Pastor Anthony Banton. A special thank you to Deacon Jamie Nails, who did an outstanding job serving as our emcee and helping to make the morning both enjoyable and meaningful.

Our men faithfully serve their families, our church, and the community in so many ways, and it was a pleasure to take time this weekend to show our appreciation for all they do.

A special thank you to the Women’s Ministry of First African Baptist Church, especially Sis. Eunice Fryer and Minister Gwendolyn Ryals, for spearheading this special event. Thank you to everyone who helped make the morning a success!
