This Men’s Mental Health Month, we want to share a simple but powerful truth:

It’s okay.

It’s okay to not have all the answers.
It’s okay to cry.
It’s okay to ask for help.
It’s okay to go to therapy.
It’s okay to lean on the people who love you.

The Bible is full of men who experienced grief, fear, doubt, and exhaustion. Even Jesus wept. Our faith doesn’t ask us to hide our struggles—it invites us to bring them into the light, where healing and hope can begin.

At BGCUMC, we strive to be a community where vulnerability is met with compassion, where burdens are shared, and where no one has to walk alone.

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2

Juneteenth is a time to honor freedom, reflection, and the ongoing work of justice in our communities.

At BGCUMC, we join our neighbors in this spirit and in celebrating together.

We invite you to the Freedom Celebration on Saturday, June 20, 10:00 AM–3:00 PM at Esther Short Park. This family-friendly event will include music, community resources, food, and opportunities to connect with organizations working toward equity and belonging across our region.

We hope to see you there as we celebrate freedom and continue building a more just and inclusive community.
