Sunday's Gospel Reflection - Compassion That Moves: Go, Be, and Serve.
The heart of Fr. Trey’s message aligns most clearly with Matthew 9:35-38 leading into Matthew 10:1 — where Jesus is moved with compassion for the crowds and then commissions His disciples to go out, heal, teach, and be physically present with the people. - Matthew 9:35-10:8
“When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them… Then he said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few; therefore pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.’”
This directly connects compassion → mission → action.
Reflection:
Where is Jesus inviting me to step out of comfort and show compassion — to feed, heal, comfort, forgive, or simply be present with someone today?
