Why is Bible study?

Bible study is important because it allows us to deepen our understanding of God’s word, grow in our faith, and apply biblical principles to our daily lives. It helps us develop a personal relationship with God, gain wisdom, and find guidance in making decisions. Through studying the Bible, we can also learn from the experiences of others, find comfort in times of struggle, and discover the true meaning of life.

Today!!!! Join us this today after our 11:00am church service for a delicious treat! The SMCBC Pastor’s Aid will be selling hot sausage poboys and chips, with hotdog options available for the kids, all for just $10. It’s a great way to enjoy a meal together and support our church community. We hope to see you there!

Second Mount Calvary Baptist Church is hosting a back-to-school drive and we are in need of the following items: pencils, pens, paper, highlighters, binders, backpacks, notebooks, folders, rulers, tape, glue, markers, crayons, colored pencils, erasers, scissors, calculators, etc.

The collection period is from July 17 to August 3. You can drop off your donations at our Bible Study or Church Service on Wednesdays from 6pm to 7pm and Sundays from 10am to 12pm. Additionally, we will be taking up a monetary collection next Sunday to assist with Jr. High and High School supplies.

All donations will be given to students in need in our community. Thank you for your support!
