Good morning!
Prayer to Share:
I am praying that nothing stands in your way today. Set your mind on Jesus and let everything else fall into place.

Philippians 4:8 TLB
Think about all you can praise God for and be glad about.

Katy Fults’ quote:
Let’s turn our eyes away from the darkness and turn them toward the Light and the Hope.

A thought came to mind about today: Memorial Day.
We remember all soldiers who died for fighting to keep our country safe. We honor them.
Now my thought turn to Hebrews 11. We remember all OT people for their faith in God and all NT people died for their faith in Jesus. We honor them. Now we today learn their examples to follow, to obey and to trust God. Amen

I read my devotion then decided to read a whole chapter from one verse Romans 5:5, prompting me to read Romans the whole chapter 5.

I want to share 3 verses that speak to my heart strongly.
It’s Romans 5:6-8.
6 For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Cheryl’s note:
I see faith, peace, hope and love.
Faith in Jesus
Bring us to peace
Rejoice in hope
Love of God pouring into hearts

Love is from God! For God shows His own love to us while we were still sinners, Jesus died for us.
Love is God’s gift to us: Jesus’ sacrifice death for sinners.
When we believe in what God has done for us:
Jesus died
Jesus was buried
Jesus was raised to life

I’m closing this with Romans 5:9-11.
9 Much more then, having been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him (Jesus).
10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. 11 And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

Jesus IS the One who justified us by our FAITH.
Jesus IS the One who reconciles us to Father God.
Jesus IS the One who saves us.

That’s God’s gift to us!
Read again Romans 5:8!
