Jai Shree Krishna to Everyone!

The Hindu Samaj of Baton Rouge will be hosting the “Rangeela Raas-Garba” event on October 17th, 2015 at the Lamar Dixon Expo Center. We want to encourage everyone to participate in this event as it will be one fun-filled evening!! Please feel free to invite your friends and family.

Location: Lamar Dixon Expo Center, 9039 South St. Landry Ave. Gonzales, LA 70737

Event Time: 5PM-12AM
Dinner: 5PM-6:30PM

Tickets for adults are $10 and include dinner & snacks. There will be no entry charge for kids 10 and under.

Dear Members,

It’s AUGUST!!! We will be celebrating India’s Independence Day on Saturday, August 15th, 2015. It will be held at 2pm at the HSBR hall.

The program will include:
· Flag raising ceremony
· Freedom march
· Short speech
· Celebrating the independence day by sharing sweets!!

**We are requesting all the attendees to bring Sweets/Mithai to share with everyone**

Dear Members,

We are ready for some outdoor family fun. You are all invited to join us for our Back to School Picnic at the Highland Road Park.

Event: Back to School Picnic
Date: Saturday, August 29, 2015
Time: 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Activities Planned:
1. Splash Park
2. Football
3. Frisbee

Please bring sunscreen, a towel and extra pair of clothes!

Appetizers and Dinner will also be provided.

We hope to see all of you there - especially those members with children and grandchildren. The Youth Group is doing a lot of hard work to host this event, your attendance would be greatly appreciated.

Definitely a successful event for HSBR - thank you for everyone who came out to the Mela/Graduation Party on June 21. The event was fun for all ages with some delicious food and desserts, fun games and music! Thank you to the following families who donated to the youth committee all of their proceeds earned from selling food and dessert at the mela: Champak Uncle and Ela Aunty, Rubin and Manisha, Nigam and Sejal, and Rupal and Keta. The youth definitely appreciates your donation!
