About our Pastor: Reverend Dr. Angela Lee Domingue, a native of Baton Rouge, LA, is the proud wife of the Rev. Domingue, daughter of the late Mr. Willie Lee, Jr., and Ms. Johnnie Lee Harris, and the elder sister of Monica Rochelle Lee Foley. She and Pastor Domingue are also the proud parents of Azaria R. Domingue. She was educated in the public schools of East Baton Rouge Parish, having graduated
from Baton Rouge Magnet High in 1989. She attended Southern University and earned a B.S. and an M.Ed. in Secondary Education (English) in 1991 and 1993, respectively. In August 2012, she earned the Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Louisiana State University. She was employed in the East Baton Rouge Parish School System for 22 years, and has served as a teacher, Assistant Principal, Principal, Special Assistant to the Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent for High Schools, Director of Elementary Programs, and Chief Academic Officer and Associate Superintendent for the Washington County School System in Hagerstown, MD. She currently serves as Assistant Superintendent for the City of Baker School System. Dr. Domingue has been involved in ministry her whole life, having been baptized at the age of 6 by the Rev. Lenn Alexander, Sr. at the Second Mount Olive Baptist Church, where she sang in the church choir. Since the age of 12, she has played the piano for several area churches, including: Greater New Guide B.C., Jordan Stone B.C., New Rising Sun B.C., Rosehill B.C., New Canaan B.C., and McKowen Missionary B.C., where she served as Minister of Music. She acknowledged her call to ministry in April 2002 at Greater King David B.C., where, in June 2003, the Rev. Montgomery, II licensed her to preach. She has served as an Associate Minister at Greater King David B.C. and later at the Elm Grove B.C., where she is a member. In August 2008, while she served as an Associate Minister at New Canaan B.C., Rev. Charles Morgan, Pastor, asked her to assume his pastoral duties while he battled terminal illness. In September 2008, Rev. Domingue, Pastor of the Elm Grove B.C., ordained her at the request of Pastor Morgan. Following the death of Rev. Morgan in January 2009, the New Canaan family elected Dr. Angela Lee-Domingue to serve as their third Pastor. She prayerfully announced her acceptance of the call February 15, 2009, and was installed as Pastor in May 2009.
