From August 4-14, 2026, with the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Mark of Philadelphia and Eastern Pennsylvania, a nine-member delegation associated with the Diocese of Philadelphia and Eastern Pennsylvania’s St. Tikhon’s Summer Camp made an inaugural visit to a summer camp affiliated with the Vilnius-Lithuania Diocese in Ignalina, Lithuania.

Organized and led by Matthew Fleishman (Diocese of New York and New Jersey), a beloved counselor at St. Tikhon’s Camp, the nine-member delegation was composed primarily of participants from the Diocese of Philadelphia and Eastern Pennsylvania, together with participants from two other dioceses of the Orthodox Church in America and the Antiochian Archdiocese. In addition to Matthew, the delegation included three camp counselors, Carolyn Peck, Ekaterina Gulina, and Joachim Buschelli (Antiochian Archdiocese), and three teenagers, Kira Sadouski and Stanislav Sadouski (both of the Archdiocese of Washington, D.C.), and Nikita Gulin. Archpriest Nikolai Gulin, Rector of Theotokos of the Life-Giving Spring Mission in Philadelphia, PA, and Matushka Veronica Gulina completed the delegation. Upon their arrival, all nine participants were warmly received and fully integrated into the prayer, fellowship, and daily activities of the camp. On the Lithuanian side, the exchange was coordinated by Julija Pacijenko, a beloved teacher and camp counselor; Tatjana Peseckaja, the camp director; and Priest Konstantin Lazukin, Rector of the St. Michael and St. Constantine Church in Vilnius and President of the Orthodox Brotherhood of Lithuania, which organizes the summer camps.
