🚨 🚨 🚨 Hey Refuge friends and family, will you pause for a few minutes and pray for a man named Aaron. Aaron is a family friend of some of our members. Aaron was rushed to the hospital yesterday and a massive tumor was found on his brain and several lesions throughout his body. They are going to do a surgery at 1pm. Let’s lift Aaron up in prayer throughout the day today but especially at 1pm. Pray for healing because we know God still heals. Pray for the doctors to have wisdom and to know how to best help Aaron. Also pray for comfort and peace for Aaron and his family and friends. I’m sure he will have a long road to recovery.

You were never meant to fight your battles alone. ❤️

There will be days when you don’t have the words to pray. Days when your strength feels small. Days when trusting God feels harder than you want to admit.

That’s when you let the people of God carry you.

Let them pray when you don’t have the words.
Let them stand beside you when you’re struggling to stand.
Let them remind you where your hope belongs.

And when it’s someone else’s turn to struggle, you do the same for them.

Don’t let your brothers and sisters go into battle alone.

“Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.” — Psalm 20:7

We aren’t promised that we’ll never face battles. But we don’t have to face them alone.

Have we gotten too comfortable sharing Jesus only with people we think will receive Him? With people who look like us, think like us, or seem like they would make a “good Christian”?

Jesus never told us to find people who “look the part.”

He told us to share the Gospel.

That means reaching across the aisle.
Reaching toward people who disagree with us.
People with different backgrounds.
People who don’t look like us, act like us, or think like us.

Because here’s the truth:

The Gospel is for EVERYONE.

Not just the people we’re comfortable with.
Not just the people we agree with.
Not just the people we think will fit in.

Everyone.

And that’s the kind of church we want to be.

Sometimes the hardest season of faith is the one where God seems silent.

No answers.
No updates.
No clear direction.
Nothing that tells you what happens next.

But just because you can’t see God working doesn’t mean He isn’t working.

Even in the silence, God is moving. Even when you don’t understand what He’s doing, He is working behind the scenes in ways you may not be able to see yet.

So keep trusting Him.

Trust Him when you can see the path.
Trust Him when you can’t.
Trust Him when the answer comes.
And trust Him in the quiet.

If you’re in a season of wondering, “God, what are You doing? What do You want me to do next?” — you don’t have to walk through it alone.

Religion can’t save you. Traditions can’t save you. The name on a church building can’t save you.

Jesus can.

Our hope isn’t found in religion. It’s found in Jesus Christ and what He accomplished for us on the cross.

It’s not about simply going to church, following traditions, or trying to be a good person. It’s about knowing Jesus, believing in Him, confessing Him as Lord and Savior, and surrendering your life to Him.

Maybe you’ve known about Jesus your whole life. The question is: Do you know Him?

Sometimes the hardest thing to let go of is the belief that we have to figure everything out ourselves.

We plan. We worry. We try to control the outcome. We tell ourselves, “I’ve got this.”

But God never asked us to have it all figured out. He asked us to trust Him.

When we reach the end of our own strength, that doesn’t mean we’ve failed. It may be the very place where God is asking us to stop depending on ourselves and start depending on Him.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” — Proverbs 3:5

Whatever you’re carrying today, you don’t have to carry it alone. Give it to God. Trust His direction. Trust His timing. And trust that He can see what you cannot.

Are you willing to step out in faith?

True obedience to God often means leaving your comfort zone and trusting Him completely. Don’t just intend to follow Jesus. Take the step. When we stop depending on ourselves and start depending on God, He can show up in remarkable ways.

Be bold. Be faithful. Be a little “crazy” for Christ. ❤️
