Celebrate Trinity Sunday with us at Memorial Methodist this Sunday at 11 am!

Trinity Sunday affirms the historic Christian doctrine of the Trinity: one God who exists eternally in three distinct persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. On this day, congregations are invited to celebrate this mystery rather than trying to explain it logically. It highlights the Methodist understanding that God is inherently relational and defines God's very nature as love.

A gifted organist, pianist, conductor, and teacher, Scott faithfully shared his talents for many years at churches throughout northeast Louisiana, including Memorial Methodist. He also served as a choir director and accompanist, generously investing his time in mentoring and encouraging others through music. Our prayers are with the Baggarly family.

Funeral services for Dr. Scott Alan Baggarly of Bastrop, Louisiana, are scheduled for 1:00 PM Monday, June 1, 2026, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Dr. Bruce Walker officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM Sunday, May 31, 2026, at Golden Funeral Home.

Today we give thanks for the women who have nurtured, guided, encouraged, and loved us with grace and strength. 💐

On this Mother’s Day, we celebrate mothers, grandmothers, stepmothers, foster mothers, spiritual mothers, and all women who reflect God’s love through care and compassion.

We also recognize that this day can hold many emotions — joy, grief, gratitude, longing, and remembrance. Wherever you find yourself today, know that you are seen, loved, and held in prayer.
