Drop an AMEN if this story encouraged you too!

Joseph had believed in Jesus quietly for a long time, but the cross brought him to a moment where hidden faith had to become visible. Jesus was dead, the crowds were gone, the noise had settled, and Joseph had to decide whether honoring Christ mattered more than protecting his reputation.

Most of us will never stand before Pilate, but we will all face moments where following Jesus costs something. A conversation. A decision. A reputation. A step of obedience that makes it clear whose side we are on. Joseph did not suddenly become fearless; he gathered his courage and moved toward Jesus anyway.

Sometimes that is what faith looks like. 👏

Jesus did not spend three years teaching His disciples so they would simply know more; He expected them to go, obey, and carry what He had placed inside of them into the world.

These were ordinary men with an impossible assignment, which is exactly how God has always worked. Some of us spend years preparing, studying, and waiting to feel ready, but obedience is what moves faith from information into trust. At some point, you have to step out and discover that God meets you in the place where you finally depend on Him.

👉 Comment AMEN if you’re ready to stop waiting for perfect confidence and to step out in faithful obedience!

A hardened heart usually does not happen in one dramatic moment. It happens slowly, when familiar truth stops moving us, when Scripture becomes information instead of formation, and when we keep hearing the Word without letting it change how we trust, obey, and respond.

The disciples had walked with Jesus, seen miracles, and heard His teaching firsthand, yet even they struggled to believe. That should make us pause.

Before we ask God for another sign, another answer, or another breakthrough, maybe the prayer is simpler: Lord, give me a heart that still listens, still believes, and still responds when You speak.

Save this as a prayer for the places in your heart that need to stay soft.

Repost this if this reminder encouraged you today!

Success can be one of the quietest tests of the heart. It often begins with humility, surrender, and dependence on God, then He responds with grace, opens doors, restores strength, and entrusts us with more than we ever imagined.

But that is where pride tries to settle in. We slowly start believing we earned what God freely gave, and before long, every correction feels personal and every challenge feels like a threat.

Stay humble while God is blessing you. Keep remembering where it came from, who lifted you up, and who deserves the glory.
