HERBERT LEE DIXON
SEPTEMBER 16, 1919 – AUGUST 21, 2026

Herbert Lee Dixon was a Bartow native, golf-pro legend, and a pioneer. Although he received no formal training, he was inducted into the National Black Golf Hall of Fame. He leaves behind a legacy of children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, loved ones, and friends, along with those he inspired and touched throughout his life. He was inducted into the National Black Golf Hall of Fame. In honor of him, Bartow has declared April 11 Herbert Dixon Day. In loving memory, we celebrate Herbert Lee Dixon.
