This weeks Family Teaching question is:

Who is the Redeemer of God’s elect?

Answer: The only Redeemer of God’s elect is the Lord Jesus Christ, who, being the eternal Son of God, became man, and so was and continues to be God and man, in two distinct natures and one person, forever.

Scripture: Galatians 3:13; 1 Timothy 2:5; 3:16; John 1:14; Romans 9:5; Colossians 2:9.

📖 Theology Thursday | WEEK 5

This week’s reminder comes from John Owen:

What a beautiful reminder of the steadfast grace and faithfulness of God! 🙌 Our acceptance before Him is not based on our own perfection, but on Christ and His finished work. The same God who gives us new life also sustains us as we walk with Him.

When the journey feels difficult, remember: the God who begins His work in us is faithful to carry it on to the end. ❤️

We are excited to participate as a church in the Walk for Life once again and support the important work being done to protect and value every life.

We’re asking our family and friends in the Bartow community to prayerfully consider making a donation to help us reach our fundraising goal. Every gift, big or small, makes a difference and helps support this important mission.

If you would like to donate or support our team, please reach out to us or visit our fundraising page.

Thank you for standing with us and helping us walk for life! 💙

We want to thank our brother Garrett Rhoden for bringing the message today! 🙌 He preached from Romans 3:27-31 with the title, “No Room for Boasting.”

We are thankful for the reminder that salvation is by grace through faith alone, and that all the glory belongs to the Lord! May we never boast in ourselves, but always in what Christ has done for us.

Thank you, Brother Garrett, for faithfully sharing God’s Word with us today! ❤️📖

This weeks Family Teaching question is:

Did God leave all mankind to perish in the condition of sin and misery?

Answer: God, out of his mere good pleasure, from all eternity, having chosen a people to everlasting life, did enter into a covenant of grace, to deliver them out of the condition of sin and misery, and to bring them into a condition of salvation, by a Redeemer.

Scripture: Ephesians 1:3-4; 2 Thessalonians 2:13; Romans 5:21; 8:29-30; 9:11-12; 11:5-7; Acts 13:48; Jeremiah 31:33.

📖 Theology Thursday | WEEK 4

A little reminder for us all: Loving Christ is more than what we feel or say; it’s reflected in how we live and how we obey His Word. It’s easy to get caught up in our emotions, our intentions, and even our desire to serve, but we must remember that true love for Jesus is demonstrated through obedience to His commands.

May we be reminded this week to not only profess our love for Christ, but to walk it out daily in the way we live. 🙏

“If you love me, you will keep my commandments.”
— John 14:15.

Lake Ruth Baptist Church would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Pastor Glenn Leatherman for joining us this morning and faithfully preaching God’s Word.

We are thankful for the time he spent with us and for the reminder found in Philippians 4:1–9 through his sermon, “Guarded by Grace: The Practices of a Steady Christian Life.”

May we continue to stand firm in the Lord, pursue peace, rejoice in Him always, and keep our hearts and minds guarded by the peace of God.

Thank you, Pastor Leatherman, for sharing God’s truth with our congregation.

Soli Deo Gloria — To God Alone Be the Glory!
