• How was Kaos last night? What did God speak to you, or what did you learn?
• How well do you think your friends do with opening up about what’s really going on in their lives?
• The struggle areas of my life that I’m quickest to cover up are usually related to ____________. What area of your life do you struggle the most to open up about?

Dear parents of Kaos students,

We are excited to let you know about a new four-week series that we are starting here at Kaos. It’s called Messes and Miracles. The whole goal of this series is that by looking at the life of Moses, students will relate to God’s miraculous plans being accomplished through ordinary, broken people. We want to encourage them in their own messiness and embolden them to step into God’s call on their life to bring the gospel to the world through the Holy Spirit.

Here’s the breakdown for the next four weeks:

Week 1: Moses in the Basket
Bottom Line: You are a miracle!

Week 2: Moses the Murderer and the Burning Bush
Bottom Line: Your biggest miracle could come on the heels of your biggest mess.

Week 3: The Exodus
Bottom Line: Put your limitations in God’s hands and see that His power is limitless.

Week 4: Wilderness
Bottom Line: Messes don’t disqualify you from making a mark.

Here at Kaos, it’s also our desire to partner with you—the real youth minister to your son or daughter. That’s why we have also included a few discussion questions for you to use to engage your son or daughter in conversation about what God is speaking to their hearts. I wouldn’t pull out the sheet unless you need to, but glance at the questions before they get home from church and try to engage them with one or two of the questions. If they don’t want to have a conversation, you can blame it on us and tell them we asked you to!

We are praying for you, that you would have meaningful interactions with your son or daughter, and that we would all begin to embrace the miracles God is making out of our messes.

We're kicking off our new series, Goals! What’s one goal you have this year?
