Last week, our Forge students spent a few days serving our church and community on EDGE, our local camping mission trip. After enjoying God’s creation at Starved Rock, they spent two days serving a member of Village Church, Evangelical Child & Family Agency, and The Ruth Project Ministries. We are thankful for the way these students put their all into serving others, and we ask you to join us in praying that this trip continues to shape their hearts for discipleship and service.

Vacation Bible School is coming up in just over a month, which means now is a great time to register! VBS will take place July 20–24 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and is open to children ages 4 years old through 6th grade (grade entering in Fall 2026). At Agency D3, kids will become secret agents and investigate for themselves! They will spend the week collecting evidence about the life of Jesus by examining eyewitness accounts, physical proof, and biblical records. They will discover the facts about who Jesus is, decide what to do with the evidence they’ve gathered, and gain the confidence they need to step out in faith and defend what they believe!

In today’s world, kids are pressured on all sides to accept what teachers, friends, and society tell them about Jesus. But they don’t need to fall under that pressure! At Agency D3, they will become secret agents and investigate for themselves!

We had a great time at the VCYA Summer Kick-off a couple of weeks ago, and cannot wait to meet for dinner and dive into the book of James at 5:30 p.m. tonight, June 9! VCYA exists to disciple young adults (25 and under) as they take their next steps with Jesus. We meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month at 5:30 p.m. at Village Church.

Join us for an evening exploring the beauty, order, and wonder woven into creation through the Golden Ratio on July 6 at 6:00 p.m. This mathematical proportion appears when the relationship between two parts reflects the relationship of the whole. This pattern is often found in nature, art, and design, where it creates a sense of balance, beauty, and harmony. Jennifer Anderson, M.A.EL., M.A.Ed., NBCT, will facilitate the evening, sharing how patterns in nature, design, and mathematics reveal glimpses of God’s wisdom and creativity. This evening is an opportunity to grow in awe of God, our incredible Creator, as He makes Himself known through the world He has made. While topics are mathematical, this evening is geared for the whole family to enjoy. If you know of someone who may enjoy this topic, please pass this registration along! There is no cost to attend, but please register so we can plan accordingly.

This past weekend, we had the joy of celebrating baptisms and hearing testimonies of God’s power, love, and faithfulness. One of the beautiful things about gathering each Sunday is connecting with our church family and hearing how God is continuing to work in their lives.

Join us for a summer book discussion! We will read a book on our own and then gather to discuss it together. Not only are we learning, but meeting in a group helps us read more deeply, knowing we will be discussing the book. It gives us the opportunity to think further, ask questions about what we don’t understand, and listen to others’ perspectives that may be different from our own. Join the Village Men’s Saturday Studies for a weekly opportunity to study God’s Word. Dave Torres Sr. will lead us through various books of the Bible and important topics for men. We will take the first two Saturdays in June off, then we will begin a 10-week expositional study of the book of Titus starting on June 20.
