I had the absolute pleasure, joy, and honor to be involved with y'all for so many years. I have gotten so close to so many of you. I've watched you grow in your lives and in your relationship with God. I've watched some of you move up to the older youth group - some were already in the older group. I've watched you graduate high school and college. I've watched you get married, have children, buy a house, move away, get jobs, have relationships - everything y'all have done since being in my youth group. We've been through a lot together. We've laughed and cried together. We've worshipped, prayed, learned Bible trivia, played games, and so many other things together. We've put together lip-sync songs to perform for the church. We've sponsored children from China. We've helped out the church and the people that attended it. We've had crazy lock-ins - some of which followed Mrs. Patty's House of Biblical Horrors (one of my personal favorites!) and gone to many concerts. We've enjoyed Tw***ie pancakes and games with yummy baby food. I hope and pray that I have had a positive influence on your lives and that when you think of me - if you think of me - it brings a smile to your face. I hope and pray that I've been able to teach you something about God, the Bible, and yourselves - just as you have taught me. I said that songs remind me of certain people and certain situations and the song that I always had for you as well as my biological children is by Mark Harris called "Find Your Wings". I know I've played it for y'all before and I mean it as much today as I did throughout the years. A little over two weeks ago, I went and got a tattoo to symbolize y'all and my birth kids. I picked a flock of birds. You were only mine for a little while but you were then and remain very important to me and I wanted something that showed that. I love y'all. I love seeing your posts and seeing what y'all are doing. I still get to see some of you in person and I cherish every moment. Y'all will always be close to my heart which is why I choose to have the tattoo put on the left side of my chest. I'm posting a pic of my tattoo and I also posted the song if you want to go and have a listen. I love y'all!!!!!
