Barnsdall’s FBC Vacation Bible School kids wanted to raise money for our Association Disaster Relief team. They raised $1,400.
A DR representative was requested to come over to receive the check. Greg Dalton took our chainsaw trailer over so the children could see the equipment we use. Each young person had a chance to try on a helmet, chaps and hold our small chainsaw and have their picture taken.
This was a very special donation, their church had storm damage from last tornado that went through and the devastation the city had. A very big Thank You to the VBS children, teachers and family for their support.

The last count we had 132 work orders in the Bartlesville area that were completed. While teams from Arkansas was helping We took a week off. We are now finishing up work orders that were left over.

DR.... The crew made a trip to Copan to clean up a very large downed pecan tree. Three hour project. Then traveled high up the hills north of Copan Lake to help a widow and daughter. Had a good visit and prayer time with the lady still deeply mourning the loss of her husband. God sent us up that dusty road for a special purpose. So glad we made the trip.

Tomorrow will be our eleventh and final work day since July 4. Several members of the crew have worked every day or close to every day.

Here is a short text written to a friend by the owner of the home where the now famous Baptist Press picture was taken describing what she saw:

"They did it so fast! And they are all older than my husband and I, but you would never know it bc they move with “strength like eagles” like the Bible says."

Amazing how God can strengthen aging bodies when the objective is purely to serve Him.

Well done men! So proud to be a part of this group and to have witnessed your efforts over the last two weeks. God is good!

First, the back to back to back, calls for help…..for days!! Next came the calls, “where am I on the list?” Yes, a few more calls for help are still trickling in at WOBA. But now, now is the time the calls are coming in saying, “Thank you so so much!” ……“Those people are incredible!” …..“you said it would be weeks, they were here in days!” …… “the work they did for me was amazing!” …… “They gave me a Bible and prayed with me!” ….. “what a blessing those guys are!” ….. “I witnessed a miracle, thank you!” Many people called the DR team members by name and said they hope to see you out and about to thank you again.

You all have made a tremendous impact on our community. I am so thankful for each one of you, I wish I could include every DR volunteer in this message. Please pass along all the thank yous and kind words and be encouraged through your exhausting days and seemingly endless work orders!

Last job of the day. A large tree had fallen on it putting limbs through the roof. Homeowner had a professional tree service cut tree and remove from the roof.
We had to wait for them to remove the tree so we could tarp it.

This job was challenging. The fence line had years of growth for trees, undergrowth and vines all up in the trees.
Wind blew the trees over taking vines with it onto the back side of house.
Crew went on roof to cut back trees and vines. Once roof was cleared, ground cutter had to cut vines an brush off of fence so we could pull the vines back to clear way into back yard.

We received a request to cut this tree trunk to ground level. It took two 25” saws and pulled over by skid steer.
