Church of Reforming Knuckleheads

Church of Reforming Knuckleheads Amid the violence, strife and destruction, it is important for Christians to understand our job as Jesus’s representatives to the world.

I’m not here to tear anyone down or win an argument. I’m speaking plainly because truth spoken in the right spirit can still reach a man, even if he’s not ready to hear it. I don’t have the broad shoulders I once did, and I don’t pretend otherwise. Age humbles a man and teaches him what toughness never could. I get startled a little easier these days, and that’s honesty, not weakness. And here’s what age has taught me: someone has to hold me accountable. I don’t get a free pass just because I’m older or because I’ve lived a long life. I still need people who help keep me steady, and I’m grateful for them. Accountability isn’t an attack, or revenge, or judgment. It’s simply the reality that every man answers for his own choices. His choices are his. His consequences are his. How he receives this is his. All I can do is speak the truth I’m responsible for and keep my side clean.

They of course are asking “Why?”
Why did the kid snap?
Why did he carry hate like a badge?
Why did he walk into that school, that church, that street corner with a weapon and a mission?
But here’s the truth:
We trained him to love guns before he learned to love people.
We fed him rage and called it patriotism.
We gave him politics, not purpose.
We gave him screens, not mentors.
We gave him slogans, not scripture.
And now we ask “Why?”
Like it’s a mystery
Like it wasn’t written in every lyric, every post, every broken promise.
Scripture doesn’t flinch:
“Nothing is covered up that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known. What you’ve said in the dark will be heard in the light. What you’ve whispered in private rooms will be shouted from the rooftops.”
—Luke 12:2–3
So let the rooftops speak.
Let them name the silence.
Let them name the cowardice.
Let them name the fathers who didn’t quit—even when
the pain made them want to.
Because I’ve got a son too.
His name is Jake.
He’s 20. His mind is confused. His heart is searching.
He doesn’t love America the way I do—not yet.
He sees the government and thinks that’s the whole story.
And sometimes I get so angry I want to shake him.
But I don’t.
Because I know what it means to fight for someone who doesn’t see the battlefield yet.
I love him loud. I love him hard.
I call him out when he’s off course.
I refuse to let him self-destruct.
Because he’s my legacy. He’s my compass.
And I will not let the rooftops shout his name in sorrow.
So to every veteran who knows what real sacrifice looks like—this is your moment.
To every patriot who still believes in honor—this is your charge.
Speak truth. Mentor hard. Love louder.
Because the next Tyler is watching.
And so is Jake.
And the rooftops are listening.

War is where young men kill each other without knowing or hating each other—because old men who know and hate each other send them to do it. That’s the tragedy. But here’s the truth: it’s not just war anymore. It’s politics. It’s culture. It’s the streets. Young people are taught to love guns and hate each other, while the architects of division sit in comfort, untouched by the chaos they orchestrate. They don’t bleed. They don’t bury their sons. They just watch the scoreboard and call it patriotism.

For the bruised, the bold, and the ones still showing up

I am a knucklehead,
Not by accident, but by history.
Raised on hard lessons and harder land,
I’ve swung, stumbled, and stood again.

I don’t wear polish—I wear scars.
I don’t speak perfect—I speak truth.
I’ve hurt, I’ve healed, and I’ve hollered at heaven.
And still, I walk in, dusty and unashamed.

This church ain’t for saints in silk.
It’s for the ones who know grace is a daily grind.
For the ones who cry out, “Oh God, I need You,”
And mean it from the marrow.

I believe in second chances,
In sacred tears shared with sons,
In dogs that remind us to be gentle,
And in friends worth fighting for.

I am being reformed—
Not into someone else,
But into the man I was meant to be
Before the bruises taught me how to pray.

Even when we crawl… He calls us His.
“What if I stumble? What if I fall?”
DC Talk put words to the fear we’ve all felt—the fear that one misstep will undo it all. But here’s the good news: God’s love isn’t performance-based. It’s promise-based.
At the Church of Reforming Knuckleheads, we don’t posture. We don’t pretend. In fact, we wear the title Chief of Knuckleheads—not boastfully, but as a reminder that we’re leading the pack in needing grace. And thankfully, grace doesn’t run out.
We’ve fallen. We’ve fumbled. We’ve made fools of ourselves and the faith we carry.
But He still calls us His.
So whether you’re running strong or dragging your boots through the dust, you’re not disqualified. You’re still welcome at the table.
We stand for truth—with mercy.
We speak with courage—with humility.
We walk (or crawl) with conviction—knowing the Cross covers every step.

HEY, YOU! YEAH, YOU—THE NEXT GENERATION OF REFORMING KNUCKLEHEADS!
Enough sitting around. Enough waiting for someone else to handle it. It’s time to step up, stand tall, and own your place in God’s plan.
This world? It needs warriors. It needs truth-tellers. It needs people who are gonna shake the foundation with FAITH, not fear. You weren’t put on this earth to blend in, shrink back, or let the world turn you into another lost face in the crowd.
Nope. By golly, YOU were built for MORE!
🔥 Faith is your fuel. If you’re not anchored in truth, the world will toss you around like a boat in a storm. Stand firm. Know the Word. Live the Word. Be unshakable.
⚡ Morality is your backbone. The world’s got enough sellouts and pretenders—be the one who refuses to bend to the nonsense. Integrity matters. Character matters. Stand strong.
💡 Truth is your weapon. Lies, deception, corruption—they thrive when people keep quiet. Speak up. Call it out. Shine a light so bright, the darkness runs for cover.
You were MADE for impact. Your life MATTERS. You are NEEDED. God has A CALLING on you that ain’t up for debate. Jeremiah 1:5 says, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.”
So, what are you gonna do with it? Sit back? Or step forward?
By golly, it’s GO TIME. Let’s get fired up, get focused, and start living like we mean it!

Nobody walks a perfect path, and even those who seem unwavering have their own struggles. What matters is the willingness to grow, to keep trying, and to live in alignment with what truly matters to you. It’s never about being perfect, but about striving toward something better.
