Good morning! Thank you for your faithfulness in serving Jesus. As we gather to pray this morning, how can we join you in praying for what's on your heart today?

Praying for Columbia...

🇨🇴 A 7.4 magnitude earthquake struck western Colombia on Monday morning, causing destruction and loss of life. According to reports from the region, 111 people have died and 87 have been injured.

Edgar Rueda, director of JIBACAM (the Wesleyan mission organization of the Ibero-America Established Regional Conference), shared that Wesleyan pastors in the affected area have reported they are safe. We thank God for His protection. Some church members have relatives whose homes have been damaged, though no major complications have been reported among Wesleyan families at this time.

🙏 As our brothers and sisters in Colombia respond to the needs around them, we invite the global Wesleyan family to join in prayer:
- Pray for individuals who have lost loved ones and property
- Pray for our Wesleyan brothers and sisters as they grieve with their neighbors and families
- Pray for Wesleyan churches as they discern how to support and encourage their communities

"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble." —Psalm 46:1 💙

Last Sunday Annette and I traveled to Caruthersville Wesleyan Church, located in the bootheel of Missouri (1.5 hours north of Memphis) to install pastor Brad and Jill Griffin as the next pastor. The time there was too short! The southern hospitality was second to none and the way the people have embraced Brad and Jill is so encouraging. I am proud of the leadership of the board who prayed, trusted and waited on the Lord to provide their next pastor. I am proud of Brad and Jill for making the sacrifices and listening to the voice of the Holy Spirit to become the next pastor. Brad and Jill welcomed Annette and I into the parsonage before church so we could spend some time getting to know them. To say I am very excited about the future of CWC under the leadership of Brad is an understatement. I missed getting more pictures of our visit but that is because the fellowship and the celebration meal was so good!

Day 3 of the Tri-State District Conference. This was more than another conference session. It was a reminder that ministry is never meant to be done alone. Dr. Devon Smith challenged us to remain faithful to the calling God has placed on our lives. Then came a simple but deeply meaningful moment. Each attendee received a small bottle of anointing oil.
Not as a souvenir.
Not as a symbol of a conference.
But as a reminder to pray for one another. May we never stop praying for our churches, our communities, and each other. When God's people unite in prayer, He continues to do what only He can do. What a meaningful end to the 2026 Tri-State District Conference.

Day 2 of the Tri-State District Conference was full of encouragement, learning, and celebration! General Superintendent Jim Dunn shared a powerful message this morning, followed by several valuable breakout sessions designed to strengthen our pastors, leaders, and churches. After some much-needed free time, we gathered for an incredible ordination service. We also celebrate Kevin Osborn, whose ministerial credentials were officially transferred this evening. Congratulations, Kevin! We are grateful you are part of the Tri-State District family and look forward to seeing how God continues to work through your ministry.
