Key Differences Between Allah and Jesus
Understanding the distinctions between Allah and Jesus is crucial.
* Nature of Divinity — Allah is viewed as a singular, all-powerful deity in Islam, while Jesus is seen as Almighty God in human form in Christianity.
* Role in Salvation — In Christianity, Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection are central to salvation, whereas Islam teaches that Jesus was not crucified and does not play a role in salvation.
* Attributes — Allah is described with 99 names in Islam, all emphasizing attributes like domination and power, while Jesus embodies holiness, mercy, grace, forgiveness and sacrifice in Christian theology.
* Reverence — Muslims recognize Jesus as a prophet but do not worship him, whereas Christians worship Jesus as God.
* Godhead Unity - God, the Father, God, the Son, and God, the Spirit are One. Jesus is the physical manifestation of the godhead, sent by The Father to be the substitutionary sacrifice for the redemption of mankind. The God of Christianity has a “beloved son.” Allah has no son.
* The Way to eternity - Allah gives an afterlife existence through submission to his will. Jesus offers eternal life through admission of sin, repentance, and faith in Him as Lord and Savior.
* Summary: Jesus is not Allah and Allah is not Jesus.
