Thank You for the gift of children and for Your invitation to let them come to You.

Please bring the children in my life—and children everywhere—before Your presence. Protect them, guide them, and fill their hearts with Your love and peace.

Help me to approach You with a childlike heart, trusting You completely without worry or doubt. In the name of your Son, Jesus, I pray. Amen.

First Presbyterian Church’s first pastor was Rev. Ralph Lamb. In the office today is a small piece of his family history: the highchair his children would sit in.

Within the window of the chapel is the shape of an eye, becoming larger and larger, until it encompasses the whole window - symbolizing the all-seeing eye of God. Within the eye, the main events of the life of Jesus are symbolized, beginning in the lower left corner and progressing up and down to the lower right.

Eternal God,
by your Word you commanded: "Let there be light!" By Your Spirit You have revealed the light of Your glory in the face of Jesus Christ.
