THIS SUNDAY AT UUCB: Join us for a casual abbreviated service at 11:00 am with conversation starters from the Spiritual Conversation card deck. We've done this in the past, and had some amazing conversations. Topics might include questions about heaven and hell, God, morality, etc. that can invite deep, nourishing discussions about self-awareness, beliefs, faith, and being human. Who knows what we might talk about! We will be meeting in the May Room instead of the Sanctuary this Sunday. As always the church will be open at 10:00 am for coffee and conversation.

All of us at UUCB wish you the happiest of Easters!
Hope to see you at this morning's 11:00 am service. "Easter Traditions: A Christian and Pagan History" from speaker Kristin Duncan at 11:00 am! We will be talking all about how some of our common Easter traditions came about and why. Where the heck did the Easter Bunny come from and why do we hunt for colorful eggs? We're going to delve into both the Christian and Pagan roots of this springtime holiday, and why Easter and the Resurrection gives us hope for the future. As always the church will be open at 10:00 am for coffee and conversation.

Easter Alleluia, a Poem By Rachael Hayes
A group of thirty or so yellow tulips in bloom, seen from ground level, reaching up into a blue sky with some white clouds.
Alleluia!
Alleluia to this tricky spring weather,
to stories older than any of us,
to that confusing empty tomb.

Alleluia in every blessing,
in every bite:
chocolate-smeared and sugar-high.

Alleluia bursting from the earth like tulips,
in the warming of our hearts;
to love that cannot die,
to communities that hold one another in care,
to being braver than we knew possible.

Alleluia to beauty,
to resistance,
to sheltering and feeding the stranger;
to unexpected joy,
to miracles,
to disbelief,
to trusting your gut.

Alleluia to resilience,
to living today and building for tomorrow.

Alleluia amidst our fear and grief.

Alleluia to love that is stronger than death—
to love that is stronger than empire.

Alleluia to love that will never end.
Alleluia! Alleluia!
