Day 4 of True North VBS!!! This week is flying by and we are enjoying every minute of it:)

The journey to the Barrington 4th of July Parade has begun! Today marked the first big step in preparing our church float. Thanks to Shawn's truck and the lifting power of Fred and George, the steeple has officially arrived at Bob's garage, where the decorating magic will happen.

Want to be part of the fun? We're looking for walkers to join us alongside this beautiful float and hand out BUMC frisbees during the parade! It's a great way to share some joy, connect with the community, and celebrate together.

We are buzzing with excitement as our VBS kids embark on a week of faith, fun, music, games, crafts, and new friendships. We are so grateful to all of the wonderful volunteers who are helping make this week so special!

What a wonderful night of music and hope! Thank you to the amazing, The Dolphins Quartet. You captivated us all and created an unforgettable evening. Thank you to all who contributed to the free-will offering supporting Growing Hope Globally and its mission to help create a world where everyone has enough to eat and the resources needed to live healthy, productive, and hopeful lives!

The Dolphins Quartet's summer adventure begins right here in Barrington! All are invited this Sunday, June 14, at 7 p.m. for a benefit concert supporting Growing Hope Globally. Enjoy an evening of great music, fellowship, and inspiration as we welcome The Dolphins Quartet and help launch their summer travels across the country.

Looking forward to busy summer of adventuring all across the country! Hope to see you at a concert :)

We are honored to partner with Growing Hope Globally and support the Twin Rivers-Barrington Growing Project. We celebrate the legacy of Kevin Nelson, whose leadership and dedication helped make this partnership such a success, and we give thanks for Kevin and for the many farmers, volunteers, and friends who continue this important work.

All are invited to Barrington UMC this Sunday at 7:00 p.m. to experience the award-winning The Dolphins Quartet in a benefit concert supporting Growing Hope Globally. We hope to see you there!

The Twin Rivers-Barrington Growing Project began in 2004. A key leader for that Growing Project was Kevin Nelson, who passed away in 2023. In honor of Kevin's contributions and influence, the Growing Project named their Sweet Corn Patch after him. Every summer, farmers near Ottawa share sweet corn with Barrington United Methodist Church for a free-will donation. It's one of many fundraisers of this rural-urban partnership that has been an instrumental part of their success. Kevin is a part of that legacy, along with many other faithful farmers and friends.
