Act of Remembrance

Counterpoint presents a set of free events reflecting on the Covid-19 pandemic. We will intersperse musical elegies and meditations from diverse traditions with poetry chosen by local poets, exploring the ways we mourn and endure. The program includes works arising from the pandemic by Ana Leira Carnero and Brian Banks, and a commission by Vermont composer Don Jamison and Vermont poet Abigail Carroll. The concerts also feature pieces by Holst, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, and Pete Seeger.

Four performances around the State:

Saturday, April 18, 2026, 1:00 pm, Manchester Community Library, 138 Cemetery Ave, Manchester Center, VT 05255

Tuesday, April 21, 2026, 6:30 pm, Fletcher Free Library, 235 College St, Burlington, VT 05401
