Rev. Canon Megan Castellan
Holy Eucharist Worship Service
The congregation of St. David’s Episcopal Church is pleased to welcome us, Unitarians and Presbyterians of Holland Patent, to their worship service with special guest, Rev. Canon Megan Castellan, a priest of the Episcopal Diocese of Central New York.

Rev. Megan (or simply, Megan) will lead this service which is a Holy Eucharist worship service. Megan understands that our tradition does not include this practice, and she is respectful of the choice to remain seated. In addition, she said she will also offer a choice to receive a blessing, in lieu of communion, if we wish to participate in this way.

The monies given and collected will again be donated to Foothills Rural Community Ministry in support of its essential work.

The Episcopal church is visible from our church and located at the top of Park Ave at 140 Mappa Ave.

It’s Poetry Sunday!
A wonderful time of depth and delight. Bring a poem that you love.
Rosette encourages us to bring a poem by a poet who is new to us. Or bring a poem you've written.
Read the poem you've chosen into a field of rapt attention.

“Digging Up Dirt”
If it weren’t for soil, we might never have walked the face of this lovely planet.
And yet, we often regard Earth’s topmost layers as unclean or as outright down and dirty

Let's make pysanky! At The Other Side (Utica Uptown area).

Pysanky are referred to as Ukrainian Easter eggs, but the tradition is much older than Easter itself. It's the perfect craft to celebrate spring's return. Rather than a formal class, we'll gather together and sit side-by-side as we create these seasonal works of art. Like most traditional craft practices, pysanky were meant to be made while spending time with community members, and it's more about the experience than the end result.

All supplies will be provided, and all experience levels and ages are welcome, but please note that we will be using candles, hot wax, raw eggs, and glass jars, so little hands may need some help.

Suggested donation of $10 to cover the cost of supplies and support The Other Side in continuing to host community and cultural events like this one.

Saturday, April 4th, 1:00 to 4:00 pm.
Seats are limited -- please email [email protected] to reserve your spot.

“To Sleep, Perchance to Dream”

We like to think of ourselves as awake,
and even as woke, yet we routinely spend precious
chunks of time within the mysterious Land of Nod. Is this simply a mind/body reboot, or is something
beyond all that occurring?
