Last night our Sacred Heart of Mary Youth Group gathered for a meaningful evening of faith and discussion. Fr. Matt led our conversation about the season of Lent, helping our youth reflect on what it means to step into the “desert” with Christ, taking time for prayer, sacrifice, and drawing closer to God.

It was a wonderful time of learning, sharing, and growing together as a faith community. We are so proud of these young people and their willingness to deepen their relationship with Christ during this Lenten season.

“Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert to be tempted by the devil.” Matthew 4:1

Just as Jesus spent time in the desert preparing for His mission, Lent invites each of us to step away from distractions, trust God more deeply, and prepare our hearts for Easter.
Please keep our youth in your prayers as they continue their Lenten journey.

Tonight our youth group continued our Lenten journey with a powerful reminder: our words can be as dangerous as stones. The things we say have the power to hurt or to heal.

We prayed together in thanksgiving for our Father’s endless love and forgiveness, remembering the grace He shows us each day.

"The words of the reckless pierce like swords, but the tongue of the wise brings healing." Proverbs 12:18

And of course… we had a little fun with the rocks too! Even Fr. Matt joined in! 🪨😊

All youth ages 13–18 are invited to join us on March 11 at 6:15 PM. We’d love to see you there as we continue growing in faith together!
