As a red bloodied American and a Christian, I believe the election results show us that God has chose to be merciful to us as a nation. I love our country and all the prosperity and freedoms we all enjoy. I want my kids, grandchildren, and every American to continue to enjoy the same prosperity and freedoms I have enjoyed this 44 years. It’s time for every Christian to prioritize our lives. While we have opportunity and God has shown mercy, we need to use this time to, “preach the Gospel to every creature and allow our light to shine that they may see our good works and glorify God”. We as Christian’s have been instructed not to love this world. As an American who is a Christian, it is easy to love this world. America has been blessed beyond measure in so many ways and that isn’t a bad thing. To whom much is given much is required. We have been given much and we need to use it as an opportunity to advance the Kingdom of God and His church.

Ephesians 5:16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

In January Marybrooke Schott has an amazing opportunity to use her videographer skills on the mission field. Marybrooke will be traveling with friends of ours to Thailand and the Philippines for 48 days! While there she will be filming a retreat for Asian missionaries and their families as well as going into different cities and even prisons to film and take the Gospel to the people. A trip of this magnitude will be life changing for Marybrooke, and she needs your help to get there! Can you help her raise the $5000 she needs? We as citizens of the Commonwealth of Kentucky have a tremendous opportunity to make our voices heard for those who are not able to speak for themselves yet. We need to speak up for the most vulnerable and protect the most innocent, and that is the unborn. On November 8 our great Commonwealth is voting on a constitutional amendment to ban abortion within our boarders.
Please make sure you are registered to vote and get out and vote YES to the amendment. It’s not about taking away women’s rights like the liberals want us to think. It’s about not allowing the murder of the unborn. They don’t have a voice to be heard, we must be their voice and speak up for them! It’s time to seize the opportunity God has given us. Kansas had the same opportunity we have earlier this year and failed to get it passed because too many good people didn’t go to the voting polls to make their voices heard for the most precious of life. Again, please get out and vote YES on November 8 for the constitutional amendment to ban abortion in our great state! Also, encourage your friends to register to vote if they’re not and to get out and vote YES, on November 8.

We had the privilege of serving the Lord with Brother & Sister Combs at Big Branch Baptist in Hindman, KY for their community outreach this weekend. They were a huge encouragement and inspiration to Ashley and I. They have served faithfully for over 40 years in their church. Sister Combs still teaches Sunday School and Children’s church each Sunday. During their community outreach on Saturday they served snow cones to over 250 people in blistering hot temperatures for over 4 hours. When it was over they rolled up extension cords, cleaned up, and put up everything from the snow cone station. You are never to old to retire from the work of the Lord as long has He has given the health to keep serving. They were a tremendous testimony of exactly that. Our churches America need more Brother & Sister Combs!
