Bread for Life Community Food Pantry will be closed Wednesday, June 10th to allow our staff and volunteers to attend the funeral service of Chris and Ed Hovan who were dedicated members of the St. Vincent de Paul Outreach Ministries family.

Our hearts are heavy with the loss of Ed "Bear" Hovan. He has been a dedicated volunteer for many years. We are sending continued prayers to his wife and our retired director, Chris Hovan, as she has a long road to recovery.

Catholic Charities is mourning the heartbreaking loss of longtime volunteer and cherished community member, Ed Hovan, who tragically passed away in a car accident on May 15th.

Ed was known for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering dedication to serving others through the Bardstown Saint Vincent de Paul Food Pantry and Store. His impact on our community and the many lives he touched will not be forgotten.

Please join us in praying for his beloved wife, retired Saint Vincent de Paul director and former Catholic Charities Finance Director Chris Hovan, who was gravely injured and remains hospitalized.

We send our love to the Hovans' family and many friends. 🙏🏽💕

We want to extend a HUGE thank you to the National Association of Letter Carriers and to everyone here in Nelson County who donated to the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive this past weekend. This food drive collected over 1,600lbs of food this year, almost 400lbs more than last year!

We wouldn't be able to serve our community without your support!
