Deut. 28:58-60 (NIV) “If you refuse to obey all the words of instruction that are written in this book, and if you do not fear the glorious and awesome name of the LORD your God, then the LORD will overwhelm you and your children with indescribable plagues. These plagues will be intense and without relief, making you miserable and unbearably sick.”

1. Pray that the Lord will help us to see that when we break the covenant relationship with Him through sin and refuse to repent that He sometimes chooses to use disasters to discipline us.
2. Ask God for His mercy and forgiveness for any such sin He allows you to see in light of this truth.
3. Am I quick to recognize and agree with God in confession when I have sinned and am I quick to admit to others when I am wrong?

Hebrews 12:5b-7 (NIV) “’My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, and do not lose heart when He rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.’ Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father?”

1. Ask God to deeply impress on us that He rebukes, disciplines, corrects, and punishes the children that He loves.
2. Pray for Him to show you any signs of His discipline in your life, your church, or nation.
3. Pray for Him to help our leaders to identify sin and call us to repentance.

Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken, and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone's chains were loosed."

1. Pray with confidence for every situation of life
2. Let joy fill your heart as you pray and sing and experience God's answers

1. Pray that we will realize that God is in control of everything and He works out His purpose even through the heartbreaks and disappointments of life.
2. Rejoice – pray – give thanks; Ask God how you can honor Him with the circumstances in your life today.

Ephesians 3:20-21 (NIV) “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we can ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us; to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever.”

1. Thank God for the power he gives us when we are in the center of his will.
2. Ask God to bring unity of thought and mission as we share what He has been revealing to us through His word and as we pray about it as a church.
