Barbourville Cemetery

Barbourville Cemetery The Barbourville Cemetery is a non Profit organization. The Barbourville Cemetery Company was established in 1896.

It consists of 27 acres with a Chapel that was built in 1921 and refurbished in 2022 to an inclement weather site for committal services. The opening and closing of graves is performed by Cemetery staff with our equipment. The Cemetery also has a Columbarium with 44 niches, with each niche accommodating 2 urns. The Cemetery, in 1973 applied for and was granted a non profit status by the Secretary

of State of Kentucky. In 1974 the Cemetery started its Perpetual Care Trust fund. This fund was established to take care of the maintenance and care of the Cemetery in perpetuity. This fund is monitored by the Superintendent and the Board of Directors. The Cemetery sends 20% of all lot sales to the trust fund.
