🌟Thought for the Day
đź—“Today: May 17, 2026
🎯Theme: Run To Win
📖Text (KJV): “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 3:13–14
💡Reflection: Life is not a sprint for applause but a marathon of purpose, endurance, and faithfulness. God has given each of us a race to run, a course to finish, and an assignment to fulfill. The danger in life is not merely falling behind others; the danger is becoming so distracted by another person’s lane that we abandon our own.
Many people waste strength trying to run every race, answer every critic, chase every opportunity, and compare themselves with everybody else. But wise runners learn focus. They understand that destiny is fulfilled not by imitation, but by faithful perseverance in the path God has prepared for them.
Like the great runners from the highlands of the Great Rift Valley — places like Eldoret, Iten, and Nyahururu — strength is developed in hidden places. Discipline, sacrifice, consistency, and endurance are formed long before victory becomes visible publicly. Great lives are not built overnight; they are built daily.
Paul reminds us that winners must make a decision, stay disciplined, remain determined, and keep destiny in view. So today, run to win. Run with focus. Run with discipline. Run with determination. Run with destiny in view. Cheer others on without losing yourself. Encourage others without abandoning your assignment. And even when the road becomes difficult, do not quit. It is better to finish painfully than never to finish at all.
📜Quotes to Reflect On:
“Comparison is the thief of joy.” — Theodore Roosevelt
“It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.” — Confucius
“The successful warrior is the average man, with laser-like focus.” — Bruce Lee
“You cannot run every race, but you can faithfully finish the one God gave you.” — Pst Chege
✝️Blessing: May God give us wisdom to discern our race, discipline to stay focused, determination to keep moving forward, and grace to finish faithfully. May we never become distracted by comparison, discouraged by delays, or defeated by difficulties. May we run with patience, purpose, and unwavering faith until we reach the finish line God has prepared for us. God bless you and all yours, those you love and care for. - Pst Chege
