Forest Church Worship; All welcome
Sunday, June 23, 10:15 am
We will once again experience Forest Church, as we worship together outdoors. The theme of the service is “Nature: a shortcut to the holy”.
We will meet at Silver Creek Metro Park, 5000 Hametown Road, Norton. Go to the main parking lot in front of Lake House. (Note that there is one-way traffic on the roads surrounding the lake.) None of the pavilions were available, so our meeting place will be under the open sky. To find us, after you park, stand facing Sherman Shelter and the Lake House. Our group will convene in a grassy area to the left of the parking lot, near the picnic tables, not far from the restrooms. Bring a lawn chair, wear comfortable shoes and clothing, and if it looks like rain, grab an umbrella. Unless there's a thunderstorm, we will go ahead with our plan even if it is raining. We will have extra chairs and umbrellas for those who might need them. If there is a weather cancellation, you will get a text before 10:00 a.m. Plan to arrive by 10:15 to settle in. The service will begin promptly at 10:30. There are paved paths near our meeting place for those who prefer not to rough it too much. Feel free to bring a packed lunch and stay after the service for hiking.
