SCAMMERS TARGETING OUR SENIORS - AGAIN

While delivering printed copies of the Shield to several retirement centers, Mr. Matulavich met a senior citizen who told him he had just won $49,260.00 in a "North American Consumer Promotion Draw."
After reviewing the letter sent to the gentleman, it became clear that the notification was an attempt to scam the senior.

The company, called TRUSTNET out of Arlington, Texas asked that the 'winner' of the cash prize send $900.00 to cover the taxes, and this must be paid before the lump sum of $49,260 would be sent to him.
Fortunately, the senior mentioned his 'good luck' to the retirement facility manager, who then asked Mr. Matulavich to review the letter. Ladies and gentlemen, DON'T FALL FOR THIS SCAM.
If you receive a letter from TRUSTNET based in Texas, but mailed from Toronto Canada, with a bank in Lake City Florida, DO NOT RESPOND, and THROW IT AWAY.
