Suitcase Collection

Do you have a suitcase or duffle bag in good condition that you’re no longer using? Foster children in our area could truly benefit from it. Far too often, when they are moved from place to place, their belongings are packed into garbage bags — something no child should have to experience.

One of our local Lutheran churches is working to collect 100 suitcases by next Sunday, Father’s Day, June 21, 2026. We apologize for the short notice; we only learned about this effort.

If you are able to donate, please bring your suitcase or duffle bag to the church by Sunday, June 21, 2026. All donations will be delivered to the pick‑up site on Monday, June 22, 2026.

Thank you for supporting this meaningful and compassionate project. Your generosity makes a real difference.

Worship Update for Sunday, June 14

Due to the extremely hot weather expected this week, our worship service this Sunday will be held in the Fellowship Hall at 10:00 a.m.

We will continue to decide our worship location on a week‑to‑week basis throughout the rest of June, but we are hopeful to return to the sanctuary on June 21.

For this Sunday, please join us in the Fellowship Hall at our regular worship time of 10:00 a.m.

We look forward to seeing you then!

Did you know we have a Youth Group? We meet on Wednesday evening at 6 pm. This week we will be participating in the Lenten Meal in the Church's Fellowship Hall at 5:30. Come join us for spaghetti & meatball dinner. We have a blast each week and we welcome all students of any age to hang out and see what we are all about. Here is one of our recent projects. We decorated one of the bulletin boards in the hallway upstairs.

Please join us for our Lenten Meal of spaghetti & meatballs, salad, and of course, delicious desserts on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 5:30 pm in our Fellowship Hall. This dinner will be offered as a goodwill offering. We look forward to having you, your family and friend, join us for dinner, fun, and fellowship.

Thanks to your overwhelming response and incredible generosity, the Free Clothing Closet has been fully restocked and is ready for our next Clothing Event on Saturday, February 7, from 10 AM to 12 PM. The Free Clothing Closet is located at 404 Broadway, Bangor, PA and the door to enter is located in the alcove on South 4th Street, please ring the doorbell.

At this time, we are unable to accept additional donations. Should the need arise again, we will gladly welcome your support.
