Renew Ladies' Retreats

Renew Ladies' Retreats Renew Ladies' Retreats are intended to call women of faith back to a vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ. "Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation."

The ultimate goal of Renew Ladies' Retreats is to give women the courage to be like the woman at the well. Realizing how dead and dry her life was before encountering Jesus Christ. She ran back and told everyone she knew about her new vibrant faith. She shared with them how they could have "life, and that they could have it more abundantly." John 10:10 Her testimony was the tool to sharing the gospel which we are commissioned to do by Jesus in Matthew 28:18-20

You are probably wondering where the ladies of Renew Ladies' Retreats have been this past year or so. We have been putting "what we preach" into practice. Our worship director has been fighting a host of illnesses, the last one being breast cancer. Our founder has had a particularly rough stretch with her lupus including but not limited to swelling around her heart. We have had lots of opportunities to "count it all JOY" when life has handed us lemons. God has provided in more ways than we can possibly count. "His joy has been our strength." The Holy Spirit has ministered to us in ways we didn't we even needed. Of course the body of believers have done above and beyond anything we could have asked. But now we are looking to the future. While we will still be organizing the usual day and half day retreats, we are looking to share what God has done in an easier format...If your church or ladies ministry is looking for guest speakers for a bible study, ladies brunch, or small group, we would love to take advantage of those times to share what we are so passionate about. Please feel free to contact us here or pm either Una Purvis or Juliette Osborne on fb. We are soooo looking forward to sharing how "tribulation" really does produce "hope" found in Christ.

After attending a wonderful retreat at Calvary Chapel in Orrington, Me, I am renewed for the ultimate calling of "Go ye therefore unto all the earth." Wherever, whenever, whoever...these words all emphasize a lack of restriction on how we are to share our stories of faith. Each testimony of God's grace and daily mercy exemplifies the miracle of broken lives made whole by knowing Jesus Christ.

My heart is full to overflowing with joy after spending the day in praise to our Lord. Many thanks to everyone who made it possible. I pray that today would be a continuation of worship as you go to church and love on your fellow believers. May God bless you and keep you while He opens your eyes to testimony opportunities...

Frances Ridley Havergal's "My King" is still in print. Here is a beautiful, encouraging tidbit from day 27 "Working with the King". The dwelling and working (with the king) must go together. If we are indeed dwelling with the King, we shall be working for Him too, "as we have opportunity." The working will be as the dwelling-a settled, regular thing, whatever form it may take at His appointment. Nor will His work ever be done when we are not dwelling with Him. It will be our own work then, not His, and it will not "abide." We shall come under the condemnation of the vine which was pronounced "empty," because "he bringeth forth fruit unto himself." "Laborers together with God!" 1 Cor.3:9

What are you doing with your minutes? And why are you doing it?

Thank you to our youngest, sweetest volunteers. You were both cheerful, helpful, and encouraging! God bless you both.
