Hi CityBeat Family!

Yvonne here 👋🏼 your CityBeat Dream Center Executive Director, the girl behind the socials and cameras, your announcement girl, apparently the Living Stone 😅, and most of all your friend!

You all really surprised me! And as Pastor Alec said… it’s hard to do—I know everything, and if I don’t, I make sure I do so I can share it with you!

I’m truly honored and touched by this surprise.

When I moved back to Baltimore a few years ago, I came back a little worse for wear. The world had not been kind to me, people had hurt me, and most of all I got lost and stopped following Jesus. I felt called back to CityBeat, but I tried to fight it.

But here’s the thing—when I walked into CityBeat, I knew the Holy Spirit was present and that God was pleased.

This family welcomed me with open arms, even in—actually, especially in—my brokenness. The love, care, and encouragement of this community gave me the strength to crawl my way back to the altar week after week until I finally allowed myself to fully surrender to Christ and let Him truly transform my life.

This life of worship, service, and fellowship is the dream God placed on my heart many years ago—now fulfilled in ways that are far better than I ever could have imagined.

I pray this encourages someone: God doesn’t need you to come to Him all put back together. He wants you right now, as you are, and He will take care of the rest.

Becoming a new creation in Christ isn’t just for some people—it’s for you, it’s for me, it’s for all of us.

This is my heart, this is my “why.” I know what God is capable of, and I want as many people as possible to experience His love, grace, and joy—both in this life and for eternity.

I love you all, and Jesus loves you more! ❤️

✨ One Church, One Celebration ✨
Psalm 133:1

“How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!” 🤍

This Sunday, our service will be combined with our Dundalk campus at Eastern Assembly of God, and we can’t wait to gather together as one church family for a powerful time in the presence of God.

We’ll be ending service with baptisms — including some of our very own CityBeat members — and we’re expectant for all the Lord is going to do. ❤️‍🔥

This past Sunday, we had the honor of celebrating our April Living Stone 🤍

This month, we honored Eric—or as our kids lovingly call him, “Mr. Ewic” 🥹

Eric is such a gift to CityBeat. We heard so many kind, powerful (and even a few fun) words shared about him, and then had the privilege of hearing his heart. It was so special to listen and truly feel God speaking through him.

From sound and production, to kids ministry, to showing up to every outreach he can—Eric serves with consistency, humility, and joy. He’s a friend to everyone, no matter their age, and that kind of heart doesn’t go unnoticed.

We’re so grateful the Lord called him to CityBeat, and we can’t wait to see all that He continues to do through his life 🙌✨
