We're hosting a Pitch Competition with $25,000 in total prizes up for grabs, and we want YOU on that stage.

Here's how it works: each business competes in one category: Brick & Mortar Restaurants, Caterers, Food Truck, or Beverage β€” for a $5,000 prize. Category winners then compete for the $5,000 Grand Prize on top of that.

You'll get 3 minutes to pitch in person, on either September 28th or 29th (6–9pm). Applications, including your pitch slides, are due September 21st, and we'll let you know your time slot by September 25th.

There's also a free virtual Prep Session on September 23rd to help you polish your pitch before the big night.

AFRO News celebrated its 134th anniversary at the 6th Annual Black Business Expo, honoring Black entrepreneurs under the theme "Powering Prosperity in the Age of AI."
