Jeremiah 29:11- (NIV)
“I know the plans I have for you,“ declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.“

The Bible exhorts us to walk by faith and to trust God. To walk by faith and to take risks, to step beyond
what is comfortable into situations that have no
guaranteed outcome.

When the Babylonians attacked Jerusalem, God
Spoke to King Zedekiah through the prophet Jeremiah. God promised that if Zedekiah would surrender to the Babylonians, he and his family would survive and the city would not be burned. But Zedekiah was afraid to surrender and afraid of being ridiculed. Rather than face that risk, he tried to escape. The enemy captured Zedekiah, killed his sons, burned Jerusalem, and marched a host of captives away to Babylon. How different the outcome could have been if Zedekiah had believed this word from God!

God has good plans for us, plans to give us
"hope and a future.” All God asks is that we trust and obey the guidance given us in the Bible. Sometimes obedience to God may invite ridicule. It may mean doing what we've never done before, learning something new, or giving up something we think we cannot live without. Obedience to God can take us into risk, but ultimately it results in blessings.

Have a SPECTACULARLY blessed Saturday!!

Matthew 7:24
Everyone who hears these words of mine and put them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.

To test the stability of two houses, engineers simulated a Category 3 hurricane by using powerful fans that produced wind gusts of one hundred mph for ten minutes. The first house was built according to a non-hurricane building code, and the other was put together with a reinforced roof and floors. The first house shook and eventually collapsed, but the second house survived with only a few cosmetic damages. One of the engineers summarized the study by asking, "Which house would you rather be living in?"

Concluding His teaching on values of kingdom living, Jesus said, "Everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock" (MATTHEW 7:24). The fierce winds blew, but the house survived. In contrast, the person who hears and yet doesn't obey, "is like a foolish man who built his house on sand" (vs. 26). The fierce winds blew, and the house collapsed under the intensity of the storm. Jesus presented His audience with two options: build your lives on the solid foundation of obedience to Him or on the unstable sand of your own ways.

We too have to make a choice. Will we build our lives on Jesus and obedience to His words or disobedience to His instruction? By the Holy Spirit's help, we can choose to build our lives on Christ.

Have a FANTASTICALLY Blessed Friday!!!

Romans 10:1
My heart’s desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is that they may be saved.

As a convert to Jesus Christ, Nabeel Qureshi has written books to help his readers understand the people in the religion he left. His tone is respectful, and Qureshi always displays a heart of love for his people.

Qureshi dedicated one of his books to his sister, who has not yet put her faith in Jesus. The dedication is brief, but powerful. "I am begging God for the day that we can worship him together," he wrote.

We get a sense of that kind of love as we read Paul's letter to the church in Rome. "My heart is filled with bitter sorrow and unending grief," he said, "for my people, my Jewish brothers and sisters. I would be willing to be forever cursed-cut off from
Christ!-if that would save them" (Romans 9:2-3).

Paul loved the Jewish people so much that he would have chosen separation from God if only they would receive Jesus. He understood that by rejecting Christ, his people were rejecting the one true God. This motivated him to appeal to his readers to
share the good news of Jesus with everyone (10:14-15).

Today, may we prayerfully dedicate ourselves to the love that aches for those close to us.

Have a TERRIFICALLY blessed Thursday!!!

Genesis 12:8
From there he went on towards the hills east of Bethel and pitched his tent.

Growing up in Minnesota, a place known for its many beautiful lakes, Jesiah loved to go camping to enjoy the wonders of God's creation. But sleeping in a flimsy tent wasn't his favorite part of the experience- especially when a rainy night and a leaky tent resulted in a soggy sleeping bag.

It’s wondrous to think that one of the heroes of our faith spent a hundred years in tents. When he was seventy-five years old, Abraham heard God's call to leave his country so the Lord could make him into a new nation (Genesis 12:1-2). Abraham obeyed, trusting that God would follow through on His promise. And for the rest of his life, until he died at 175 (25:7), he lived away from his home country in tents.

We may not have the same call as Abraham did to live nomadically, but even as we love and serve this world and the people in it, we may long for a deeper experience of home, of being rooted here on earth. Like Abraham, when the wind whips our flimsy covering or the rain soaks through, we can look with faith for the city to come, whose "architect and builder is God" (Hebrews 11:10). And like Abraham, we can find hope that God is working to renew His creation, preparing a "better country-a heavenly one" to come (vs.16).

Mark 5:19
Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you.

"Тhere's no place like home. There's no place like home." Those unforgettable lines spoken by Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz reveal a story-telling device found in an overwhelming number of our most enduring stories from the likes of Star Wars to The Lion King. It's known as "the hero's journey." In brief: an ordinary person is living an ordinary life when an extraordinary adventure is presented. The character leaves home and travels to a different world where tests and trials await, as well as mentors and villains. If she or he passes the tests and proves heroic, then the final stage is returning home with stories to tell and wisdom gained. The last piece is crucial.

The story of the demon-possessed man closely parallels the hero's journey. It's interesting that in last scene the man begged Jesus to let him "go with him" (Mark 5:18). Yet Jesus told him: "Go home to your own people" (vs. 19). It was important in this man's journey to return home to the people who knew him best and to tell them his amazing story.

God calls each of us in different ways and to different scenarios. But for some of us, it can be crucial for our faith journey to go home and tell our story to those who know us best. For some of us, the call is "there's no place like home."

Have a TERRIFICALLY Blessed Tuesday!

Monday May 25, 2026—Memorial Day2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV)
“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”On this Memorial Day, we pause to honor those who gave their lives in service to others—men and women who stepped into the breach for the sake of something greater than themselves. Their courage often came not from strength alone, but from the willingness to act in the face of fear, uncertainty, and sacrifice.

Paul’s words remind us that it is not our strength that carries us—it is God’s grace. In our moments of grief, fatigue, or struggle, God’s power doesn’t abandon us; it fills the spaces where we are weakest. God doesn’t give us grace for next week today—He gives us just enough for the moment we’re in. So take a breath. We have what we need for this day. This is a truth that can carry us today as we remember the fallen and support those who continue to bear the burden of loss.
Lord, today we remember those who gave everything. Help us to honor their memory by living with courage, compassion, and humility. Remind us that in our weakness, your strength shines most brightly. Let your grace be enough for us, and help us to extend that grace to others who carry hidden wounds. Amen.

Reflect on someone who served and sacrificed. Reach out to a veteran or a grieving family if you can. Let them know they’re not forgotten—and that God’s grace is near.
Have a MAGNIFICENTLY Blessed Monday!!!

Psalm 91:4
God will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings, you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

A Colorado mother proved she would stop at nothing to protect her child. Her five year old son was playing outside when she heard him screaming. She rushed outside and, to her horror, saw that her son had an unexpected "playmate"-a mountain lion. The large cat was on top of her son, with his head in its mouth. The mother summoned her inner mamma grizzly to fight off the lion and pry open its jaws to rescue her son. This mother's heroic actions reminds us of how motherhood is used in Scripture to illustrate God's tenacious love and protection for His children.

God tenderly cared for and comforted His people as a mother eagle cares for her young (DEUTERONOMY 32:10-11; ISAIAH 66:13). Also, like a mother who could never forget a nursing child with whom she had built an inseparable bond, God would never forget His people nor forever withhold compassion from them (ISAIAH 54:7-8). Finally like a mother bird offering protective cover under her wings for baby birds, God would "cover [His people] with his feathers" and "his faithfulness would be their shield and rampart" (PSALM 91:4).

Sometimes we feel alone, forgotten, and trapped in the grip of all kinds of spiritual predators. May God help us remember that He compassionately cares, comforts, and fights for us.

Daniel 4:34
My understanding returned to me; and I blessed the Most High.

Emergency Services in Carlsbad, California, came to the rescue of a woman with an Australian accent who couldn't recall who she was. Because she was suffering from amnesia and had no ID with her, she was unable to provide her name or where she had come from. It took the help of doctors and international media to restore her health, tell her story, and reunite her with her family.

Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, also lost sight of who he was and where he had come from. His "amnesia," though, was spiritual. In taking credit for the kingdom he'd been given, he forgot that God is the King of Kings, and everything he had was from Him (Daniel 4:17, 28-30).

God dramatized the king's state of
mind by driving him into the fields to live with wild animals and graze like a cow (vs. 32-33). Finally, after seven years Nebuchadnezzar looked up to the skies, and his memory of who he was and who had given him his kingdom returned. With his senses restored, he declared, "I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and glorify the King of heaven" (vs. 37).

What about us? Who do we think we are? Where did we come from? Since we are inclined to forget, who can we count on to help us remember but the King of Kings?

Isaiah 40:26
…He who brings out the starry host one by one and calls forth each of them by name.

In Love Letters from God, Glenys Nellist invites children to interact with the Lord in a deeply personal way. These children’s books include a note from God with a space for the child's name to be inserted after each Bible story. Personalizing scriptural truth helps her young readers understand that the Bible isn't just a storybook. They're being taught that the Lord wants a relationship with them and that He speaks to His greatly loved children through the Scriptures.

Don bought the book for his nephew and filled in the blanks in the beginning of every note from God. Delighted when he recognized his name, his nephew said, "God loves me too!" What a comfort to know the deeply and completely personal love of our loving Creator.

When God spoke to the Israelites directly through the prophet Isaiah, He called their attention to the heavens. The Lord affirmed that He controls
"the starry host" (Isaiah 40:26), determines each star's individual value, and directs each one with love. He assured His people that He won't forget or lose one star ... or one beloved child that He's sculpted with deliberate purpose and endless love.

As we celebrate our Almighty Lord's intimate promises and proclamations of love within Scripture, we can fill in our names. We can trust and declare with childlike delight, “God loves me too!"

Have a Fantastically Blessed Friday!!!

Matthew 6:34
Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring worries of its own. Today’s trouble is enough for today.

Modern technology allows us to both speed up time and slow it down. In a television-makeover program, a garden or home is transformed in minutes. But in real life beautiful gardens take years of hard work, and redecorating is not as easy as it looks on TV. On the other hand, modern technology can also slow down
time, as we see in the endless slow-motion replays of decisive moments in sporting events. The past is gone; the future comes at its own pace. In reality, we cannot rewind or speed up our life.

We may look back with regret, anger, and resentment at all our dashed hopes, at all our "if onlys.” Or at times we may consider the future bleak and want to rush past it. But we cannot alter time. What we have is God's gift of today and the freedom to choose how to live it.

The apostle Paul gave us an example when he wrote, "Forgetting what is behind I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus" (Phil. 3:13-14, NIV). Like Paul, we can take each day's opportunities to use the gifts that God has given us.

Revelation 1:17
Then he placed his right hand on me and said, “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last.“

It was just a touch, but it made all the difference to Colin. As his small team was preparing to do charitable work in a region known for hostility to believers in Jesus, his stress level began to rise. When he shared his worries with a teammate, his friend stopped, placed his hand on his shoulder, and shared a few encouraging words with him. Colin now looks back on that brief touch as a turning point, a powerful
reminder of the simple truth that God was with him.

John, the close friend and disciple of Jesus, had been banished to the desolate island of Patmos for preaching the gospel, when he heard "a loud voice like a trumpet" (Revelation 1:10). That startling event was followed by a vision of the Lord Himself, and John
"fell at his feet as though dead." But in that frightening moment, he received comfort and courage. John wrote, "He placed his right hand on me and said, 'Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last'" (vs. 17).

God takes us out of our comfort zone to show us new things, to stretch us, to help us grow. But He also brings the courage and comfort to go through every situation. He won't leave us alone in our trials. He has everything under control.
He has us in His hands.
