This morning, we’re celebrating the life of our friend Precious Fraling.

Many of you who have worked with us in the past 5 years know Precious and her stories, have pulled weeds, harvested cherry tomatoes, or put spinach seeds in the soil beside her in the recovery garden at the Glenwood Life Center.

For those wanting to celebrate from afar, the service starts at 11am at Govans Presbyterian Church.

Details for how to give to her memorial fund and help with funeral expenses are in the comments.

Takeyia S. “Precious” Fraling, who overcame her own addiction and later worked on Glenwood Life Counseling Center in Govans, died of respiratory failure April 28 at the University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center.

Tis the season for 2022 registrations! We still have a few summer spaces available!

The COVID safety highlights:
-Your group will have the space to itself. -We’ve installed air filtration systems.
-We have all outdoor sites available.
-Masks worn at all sites.
-All participants vaccinated.

Bonus highlights:
-Sound theology and practical skills you can take home with you in our curriculum.
-Time with local leaders and with church folks reimagining mission in urban, suburban, and rural communities.
-A partnership with the Office of Public Witness in DC that lets you have an advocacy day on the Hill.

Our program fees are changing in the New Year, but you still have a couple weeks to register at our current rates.
