We're a Byzantine Catholic parish in Baltimore. We welcome all interested in Eastern Christianity! Please join us!

Sunday Divine Liturgy at 9am but please check bulletin on our website in case of occasional schedule change. The Patronage of the Mother of God Byzantine Catholic Church is located in Baltimore, MD. We are a parish of the Byzantine Catholic (Ruthenian) Eparchy of Passaic, New Jersey. Our Sunday services are typically at the below times:

We decorated our church for the Feast of Pentecost, with our Toddler ECF Sunday School class learning about the descent of the Holy Spirit. In the Grade School ECF Sunday School class, our students learned about the story of Pentecost and explored the rich theological symbolism found within the icon.

Today, the Church of Passaic celebrates the Ascension of Our Lord, God, and Savior Jesus Christ into Heaven. (Ascension Thursday) As Christ ascends to the Father, He entrusts His mission to His disciples and fills us with the hope of His promise: “I am with you always.”
"You were taken up in glory, O Christ our God; you gladdened the disciples with the promise of the Holy Spirit. By blessing them, you confirmed that you are the Son of God, and the Redeemer of the World." - Troparion of the Ascension.

Thankful for all the mothers and families who joined us Sunday for the Mother's Day celebration after Divine Liturgy!

Christ is Risen! Today, we offer prayers for all mothers, especially our departed mothers who now rest in the mercy of the Lord, and for all who mourn them. We also remember those who await the gift of motherhood through birth or adoption, and those who carry the cross of infertility. Through the prayers of the Theotokos, may the Risen Christ grant comfort, strength, and abiding hope to all.

Our ECF students (Sunday School) and the Byzantine Catholic Mission - Hagerstown took a class pilgrimage to Holy Annunciation Ruthenian Byzantine Catholic Monastery in Sugarloaf, PA. It was a fantastic trip!

We celebrated a Moleben to the Theotokos, led by Fr. Vasyl and the sisters, toured their beautiful chapel, shared lunch, including farm-fresh milk and delicious cookies baked by the sisters, and visited the monastery farm. The sisters care for more than 50 award-winning horses, which was amazing to see. We finished the day with a visit to the pantry store and brought home some delicious food made at the monastery.

Mother Kristina and the Sugarloaf Nuns, thank you so much for your incredible hospitality! The kids had a blast, and so did the parents. We look forward to visiting your beautiful monastery again.
