Congregation Beit Tikvah

Congregation Beit Tikvah Beit Tikvah is a warm, welcoming, and creative Reconstructionist Jewish congregation, inviting you to join us in an honored tradition: asking questions.

We welcome you through the doors of Congregation Beit Tikvah, the first Reconstructionist Jewish congregation in Baltimore. Perhaps you wonder how to be Jewish and hold onto the values and beliefs dear to you. Perhaps the Judaism you grew up with, or traditional organized religion, turns you off. You simply wish you could find a Judaism or a community that speaks to your heart, mind and soul. And

a rabbi who will help you joyfully and gracefully become the best human being you can be. It is possible. You can reconstruct Jewish teachings and practices to fit your life and values. Asking questions is a Jewish tradition, and you’ll find the freedom and support to do it here at Beit Tikvah. You’re invited to question, explore, grow, create, and laugh with us. You’ll be warmly welcomed, just as you are, in our open Reconstructionist Jewish community. We love to learn and discuss Judaism, have fun, and care for each other while bettering the world. We also enjoy eating delicious food, singing great harmonies, and participating with ruach (spirit).
