Our faith calls us to seek justice and walk with those on the margins. On Monday, October 12, 2026, from 6:30 - 8:30 PM, we have a powerful opportunity to turn our Gospel values into public action.
St. Ignatius is joining forces with over 2,000 people from more than 100 schools, neighborhoods, and congregations across Baltimore City and Baltimore County for the annual BUILD Statewide Action. Together, we will meet face-to-face with key officials and candidates to demand real, systemic commitments on the critical issues facing our communities:
Affordable Housing & Vacant Housing Resolution
Immigration Rights & Support
Criminal Justice Reform
Local Neighborhood Investment
This year's action is exceptionally special as it marks the official kickoff of BUILD’s 50th anniversary of community organizing in Baltimore! Let's celebrate 50 years of power by showing up in historic numbers.
A Message from Our Team: "In the last four years, BUILD leaders have confronted some of Baltimore’s biggest challenges – not along, but together. But we know there’s more to do. These victories were won because thousands of people chose to build relationships, develop themselves as leaders, and act consistently together.” Learn more @ https://buildiaf.org/

I opened the door on Tuesday to two young gentlemen. Who were they? Two rising seniors (Nick and Alexy) from Friends School who had heard that St. Ignatius’ Loaves and Fishes Program was on hiatus during the summer 2026 renovation of Ignatian Hall. They wanted to help by donating casseroles for Our Daily Bread. These young men (in photo above) made ten casseroles and are planning to bring more soon. What a wonderful example of young people putting their values into action! Three cheers for Friends School and for these two students who are making a difference in the lives of others! —Fr. Brian Frain, S.J.
