Some things aren’t taught… they’re inherited.
This photo was taken several years ago on Thanksgiving Day — three generations of us serving: my mother, myself, and my son. Looking back at it now, I realize that being a servant has always been in my DNA.
My mother was one of the most selfless people I’ve ever known. Even while facing her own health challenges, she never stopped showing up for others. She gave, she served, and she loved people deeply. Watching her taught me that true service isn’t about convenience — it’s about compassion.
Without even realizing it at the time, she was passing the baton.
Today, that same spirit of service lives on through the work of Dana’s Daughters. What started as a calling to support women and families has grown into something bigger than I ever imagined.
On March 28, we will officially launch the Dana’s Daughters House of Hope with our Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. This home will provide transitional housing and holistic support for women rebuilding their lives and moving from surviving to thriving.
For me, this moment is personal. It’s legacy. It’s love in action.
The seeds my mother planted through service are continuing to grow.
If you believe in creating spaces where women can heal, rebuild, and start again, I invite you to support this mission — whether by attending the ribbon cutting, donating items, or giving financially.
Because sometimes hope doesn’t start with a program…
It starts with someone deciding to serve.
