Congratulations on reaching this incredible milestone!!! 🥹 Watching you grow up in YOP has been an absolute privilege. We are cheering you on today and always, but we’re definitely holding back a few tears as we prepare to say goodbye to you in the teen ministry.

​As you get ready to transition into the young adults ministry, please know that your YOP family is always in your corner. Whether your next step is stepping onto a college campus or entering the workforce, we are praying God’s absolute best over your life!

​As you prepare for the exciting journey ahead, remember to stay safe, make good choices, and never forget who you are in Christ. You’ve got this, and God’s got you! 🙏❤️

​Huge congratulations to one of our own Youth of Purpose advisors on delivering a powerful word for Youth and Young Adult Sunday! Pastor Dame announced that he is no longer a Minister in Training, as today's message was officially his initial sermon!

​The dedication, love, and leadership you bring to our Christian Education department and our youth ministry is nothing short of amazing. God is truly ordering your steps and we thank you for saying YES to the call.

Shoutout to the incredible teens and young adults who showed up this morning despite the stormy weather! We had to pivot, but we did so with absolute purpose! And let’s be real... who doesn’t love a good, intense game of UNO? 😂

But today wasn’t just about catching a color change or hitting someone with a Draw 4. By playing Uno Teams, our YOP and Pivot groups built bridges, shared laughs, and unlocked some massive takeaways about life, mental health, and transitioning into adulthood:
🔄 Life Has Twists and Turns: Just like a sudden Reverse card, life will throw unexpected changes your way. Mental health wellness means learning how to adapt when the direction shifts, without losing your peace.

🤝 You Can't Win Solo: Moving from a teen to a young adult means realizing you don’t have to carry the weight of the world on your own. Sometimes, you have to look at your teammate, trust their hand, and work together to "win" at life.

🛑 Boundaries Keep the Game Healthy: Sometimes you have to play a Skip card to protect your energy and peace of mind. Saying "no" to things that drain you is a major.

When the rain forced us indoors, we couldn't see the full plan—but it turned out exactly how it was meant to. 💚

Yesterday, our teens dove deep into 1Peter 2:9 to talk about who they really are in a world that constantly tries to define them.
​We broke out into small groups to unpack four powerful truths about our identity in Christ:

​Group 1: Chosen People
Handpicked by the Creator on purpose, not by accident. Your worth is rooted in Him, not your popularity or performance.

​Group 2: Royal Priesthood
Direct access to God 24/7. No middleman needed. We are called to represent Heaven right here on Earth.

​Group 3: Holy Nation
Set apart, not cast aside. Built differently to conform to God’s heart rather than the world’s standards.

​Group 4: God’s Special Possession
Value: Priceless. You aren't just random in the crowd; you are His prized possession, and He isn't letting go.

Real youth ministry is not random activity. It is INTENTIONAL DISCIPLESHIP.

It means teaching children who God is before the world tells them who He isn’t. It means grounding them in truth before culture hands them confusion. It means helping them build roots before storms ever come.

-Before they face doubt,
teach them doctrine.

-Before they face pressure,
teach them prayer.

-Before they face counterfeit love,
teach them the heart of Christ.

-Before they face darkness,
teach them how to walk with the Light.
