Our end-of-semester Christmas gathering last December, before most folks headed off for the holidays. We were thankful for the opportunity to partner with Marian House and help with Christmas gift wishlists for several moms and their kids. It was a joy to shop together and write cards. We pray that what we did reflected the love of Christ to these families, all for His glory alone.

Hard to believe it’s already been almost a month, and GCF will be resuming next week with a large group gathering at St. Moses. See you all next week!

Last Saturday, we spent a fun-filled afternoon enjoying fellowship and games together, especially to celebrate next journey to North Carolina. Zudika’s testimony of the goodness of God in the midst of all he endured during his graduate school chapter here at Hopkins has surely encouraged us in our faith. We pray and trust that the same God who has carried him through this season will continue to guide his steps in all that lies ahead. We’re grateful for his time with us and look forward to seeing how the Lord will continue to use him mightily in his next journey. Go and bring His love to every place Jesus sends you, brother! 🥳🙌

Last Thursday, a bunch of us made our way to DC to see Elevation Worship live. What an incredible night it was—joining 13,000 (yes, thirteen thousand!) brothers and sisters in Christ as we lifted our voices in praise and worship to Jesus! If worshipping God here on Earth brings this much joy, just imagine what it will be like to worship before His Throne in Heaven. Last Thursday definitely felt like a little taste of what’s to come!

Also, fun fact: we carb-loaded at Chick-fil-A right before the concert (it was literally next to the arena—how could we not?). Good thing we did, because we needed all that energy for nonstop jumping, singing, and dancing!

Praise God! 🙌🔥

We prayed for our daily bread, but our great God provided so much more—woohoo!! 🙌 As Lent approaches, our beloved sister Anna, originally from Louisiana, generously baked us delicious Mardi Gras King Cakes. This is a tradition we at GCF eagerly look forward to each year!

Inside the cakes, you’ll find tiny plastic babies representing Baby Jesus, as a reminder of the three kinds (Magi) who journeyed to find the newborn Christ. And as tradition goes, whoever finds Baby Jesus in their slice is crowned king or queen for the day! Swipe to the end to see one of the lucky GCFers 👑 (yep, the social media admin, ofc! 😉)

We love sharing snacks, but more than that, we cherish the fellowship and are even hungrier for the Word of God. Wherever you are on your journey—whether you’re just curious about Christianity, a new believer, or a final-year grad student looking to connect in your last few weeks or months at Hopkins—we welcome you with open arms. Hope to see y’all this Wednesday!

Yesterday, we gathered to honor and bless our graduating GCF family. We are grateful for everyone that has enriched our community, and we pray that they boldly embrace their gifts wherever God leads them. The remarks from our graduation speaker, Dr. Pablo Iglesias, resonated deeply, urging us all to embody our faith in our daily lives. Let’s continue to let our light shine before others. Congratulations once more, everyone! And know that you all are always welcome in Baltimore! 🥳❤️

“Wisdom” is the art of living skillfully in whatever conditions we find ourselves in. Starting June 14th, we’ll begin our four-week Wisdom series with an overview of the Old Testament book of Ecclesiastes, exploring how God brings joy and purpose to our lives. Then we’ll apply Scripture’s wisdom literature from the book of Proverbs to issues such as effective workplace engagement, handling money wisely, and using words well. Throughout our series, we’ll draw parallels from ancient culture to the present day, discovering how wisdom literature is practical in everyday life.
