Rivalries can be harmful, but they can also be productive as rivals seek to "up their game" to keep up with and perhaps outdo the other. In today's episode o

Erin, Emily, and Anna Kosloski “in front of the altar” (on their tv) after they “went to” (watched) the Easter Vigil Mass. They dressed up as they usually would and tried to keep up with their tradition of taking a picture in front of the altar for Easter. Thanks for sharing, Kosloski Family!

Dear friends and families,
How are you? Still excited to have so much family time? Keeping up with the kids’ on-line classwork assignments? Do you now possess matching family face masks? Has grocery shop ping become the thrill of your week?
Or are you trying to work from home, with the kids in the background of your Zoom meetings and find yourself competing for computer time Are you essential personnel, and frustrated that everyone else is home while you are going into work daily and being exposed to germs?
There are as many scenarios as there are families. And there are as many emotions as there are people.
Let’s continue to pray for each other, encourage each other and forgive each other. God didn’t cause this pandemic, but he is with us through it. When we lose patience, say a harsh word, feel unmotivated or lazy, remember that God’s not social distancing himself from us, His grace is not on lock-down, and neither is his mercy. So hang in there, and be merciful to each other, including yourself, and continue to draw close to God for he lovingly draws close to you.

Hello Rooted family,
Just wanted to share a few thoughts during this time. I found myself missing the Mass and remembered an album from my past by John Michael Talbot called "The Lord's Supper" The prayers of the Mass are put to music beautifully, backed up by a symphony. Listening to it was like drinking deep from a fountain. If you're thirsty, here is a Youtube link.

"If you take a moment to look at the typical twist pretzel, you can see that it is a model of the common prayer position from the early 600s of folding your arms over each other on your chest and putting your hands on your shoulders." Check out the rest of the article below, and give pretzel-making a try!

Here is one recipe, but you can Google others: https://www.twopeasandtheirpod.com/homemade-soft-pretzel-bites/

Pretzels come in many flavors, shapes, and sizes -- not unlike us. But have you stopped to consider they actually have an historical place in Lent?

So how is Sunday Mass going for you and your family? If you are watching the Mass streaming and want your little ones to be connected, here are a few ideas.
Have them color stained glass window pictures or make their own out of waxed paper and tissue paper. Before Mass starts, let them decorate the room that you will be watching the Mass from. Have the kids bring in a candle(Battery operated is fine). Tape their stain glass window pictures up and bring in some flowers. Small pillows can be used for kneelers.

Share ideas that are working for your family on this page. We are in this together, let's continue to worship together.
