Foundation Baptist Church was originally known as Foundations Christian Faith Church which began on October 22, 1995 in the living room of Pastor John Coad and his wife, Audrey Coa

d. The church moved to the home of Elder Andrew Talley and his wife Alberta in January 1996. Eventually, Foundations Christian Faith Church relocated to a church building at the corner of 39th Street and Greenmount Avenue in the Pen Lucy section of Baltimore City in July 1998 under the leadership of Pastor John Coad, Elder Andrew Talley, and Elder Ken Matthews. After a brief merger in the mid 2000s, Foundations Christian Faith Church became Foundation Baptist Church. Its first service was held on August 30, 2009 at its new location of 2905 Greenmount Avenue in the Waverly section of Baltimore City, now under the leadership Senior Pastor John Coad and Pastor of Evangelism, Ken Matthews (Sheila Matthews, his wife). The church’s slogan is “Where Christ is the Foundation”. Foundation Baptist Church’s goals are to worship the God of the Bible, to teach, preach, and evangelize exegetically (God’s meaning of His words), foundationally (Christ is the Foundation) and apologetically (giving reasons for what we believe and why we believe Christ is the only Way). Worship Service--------Sundays 11:30 am
Communion Service---1st Sunday of each month
Bible Study--------------Thursdays 7 pm to 8 pm
