STAYING BALANCED IN LIFE
“He who lacks these things is shortsighted.”~2 PETER 1:9 NKJV
The vice Charman of Coca-Cola delivered the commencement address at a prestigious university. In it he said: "Imagine life as a game in which you are juggling five balls in the air. You name them—work, family, health, friends and spirituality. You will soon understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back. But all of the other four— family, health, friends and spirituality—are made of glass. If you drop any of them, they will be irrevocably scarred, marked, nicked, damaged, or even shattered. They will never be the same.
We must understand that and strive for the right balance in our lives. “Many of the people we admire or think have wonderful lives, are out of balance; they can build great images of businesses, companies, ministries, and careers but not be great in the areas that matter —relationships. Solomon wrote: "They made me the keeper of the vine-yards, but my own vineyard I have not kept" (Song of Solomon 1:6 NKJV).
Consider the areas in your life that are out of balance. In your quest not to drop the ball of how you are seen online or in public image, make sure you don't drop the ball in your real, unseen, personal life. You have the characteristics of the fruit of the Spirit through the mind and nature of God within you. Allow that God-nature to develop and grow, and your life will always stay in balance.
